Iwamizawa Hotel & Travel Guide\n
Considering there's only 1 room on Travelocity within an easy drive of Iwamizawa's downtown area, it makes good sense booking a place to stay early.
The Hokkaido Greenland Hotel Sunplaza is the nearest hotel to the urban core of Iwamizawa and it's simply a quick drive away.
From the city center of Iwamizawa, it is around 20 miles (32 kilometers) to the Sapporo Kitahiroshima Classe Hotel.
The wider Hokkaido area is well worth seeing as well. Hokkaido is home to coastal plains and forests, and interesting tourist attractions include traditional villages. Adventurous visitors might also get into snowboarding, skiing and cross-country skiing in the region.
Sapporo is 25 miles (38 kilometers) to the west of Iwamizawa and is home to Sapporo Beer Museum and Clock Tower. The JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo and Novotel Sapporo Hotel are just some examples of the great hotel and apartment alternatives in Sapporo. Or, stay the night in Tomakomai, 35 miles (60 kilometers) south of Iwamizawa, where you can pick from the Dormy Inn Tomakomai Natural Hot Spring and Comfort Hotel Tomakomai. The Tomakomai Golf Resort 72 and Utonai-ko Sanctuary are some of the most popular places to visit when you're in Tomakomai.
Get your serving of local sport by making a voyage to Sapporo Dome, which is located 25 miles (37 kilometers) to the southwest of Iwamizawa. Book a Travelocity-listed hotel surrounded by the action at the Renaissance Sapporo Hotel or the Ascent Inn Sapporo.
New Chitose Airport is a closeby arrival point for air travel, and is 30 miles (45 kilometers) outside Iwamizawa's downtown area. Nearby accommodation options are Crowne Plaza Ana Chitose and Hotel Wing International Chitose.

Sapporo Prince Hotel
"Included breakfast was great. The food was fresh and healthy, and much of it sourced locally. The hot spring was clean but spartan, even though it cost 1000yen per day. (They don't even offer disposable razors.) The fitness center was a joke for a daily 2000yen fee. (No water the first day; I used the one remaining wipe to clean my equipment; the high-tech treadmill went kaput twenty minutes into my power walk and someone was using the only other one, so my workout was abruptly ended.) Staff were friendly and kind."
