Great deal, value

I have been pleased with *another hotel* as a rule but when I called they refused to give me a deal i was satisfied with. So, I checked with Travelocity & found a much better deal all around @ Hilton Garden Inn. Pillows were amazing, towels were better, breakfast was more awesome than we could've hoped for at *another hotel*, not to mention Travelocity saved me about $30 a night. Excellent!

Good Location, Something Strange in the Air

Cons: Remove the scented air or change line of cleaning products to unscented.
Have stayed in Hilton Garden Inns in the past so the appearance and staff were on par with my previous experiences. Main reasons for selecting this location was proximity to family and price per night. Noticed a strange sent in the air when entering the elevator, upstairs corridor, and 4th floor room. Almost immediately became nauseous and after approximately 2 hours of no sleep, went outside for a breath of fresh air (windows do not open in this hotel). Upon returning paused at the front desk and brought this condition to the attention of the front desk person. Her response was deferred to house keeping and no other relief was offered. After a sleepless night, upon checkout, brought this to the morning desk person and her response was deferring to housekeeping. Other than a secure night not spent in my car and bathroom facilities, there was no benefit to staying here as I was unable to sleep. After ~60 minutes leaving the hotel, the nauseous feeling left.

Not very impressive

Pros: Location.
Cons: FREE BREAKFAST, uh hello isn't that pretty standard for a hotel. More comfortable beds and better amenities.
Location: It was close enough to Sugar Land square which was important.
Super lumpy, uncomfortable beds, I did not get a good sleep. Bathroom and tv were small. I went down and got some water and juice and was instructed that breakfast was not free but I could take the drinks back to my room because I already had poured them. It didn't look like that fancy of a breakfast to begin with, I was just really thirsty and there were no vending machines on my floor.

Nice on the outside

Pros: Very pretty outside; breakfast buffet was good.
Cons: Better maintenance of wear and tear of rooms, beds, comforts like AC.
Disappointed with our experience here. It was very nice as we walked in, but the room was a mess. Originally we were given a room where the lock didn't work (tried the room card key 3 times with different cards, and ultimately even maintenance couldn't get it to open), so we were given a new room. That's fine - a little inconvenient after a 5 hr drive with tired kids, but ok. The new room, though: the carpet felt dirty, or sticky, or soggy - not sure what the right word to describe it would be - all three, maybe. My 7 year old son asked me if he could keep his shoes. The thermostat wasn't quite working; we could get it to work after trying several times. Finally managed to get the thermostat to keep the AC on, only to have the cleaning people change the settings the next day (which shut it off) and we had to start all over. Lastly, the bed itself had an enormous gaping hole in the center. Luckily the kids got the better bed and slept fine, but we barely slept, as we would literally roll "downhill" towards the center. Sad to have experienced this - wasn't expecting fancy, but was expecting more than that. Tried to talk to the staff, and they would say they were coming up, but never did. The breakfast buffet was pretty good - at least there's that!

Brand new, but a bit remote

Pros: Quiet
Cons: very remote from downtown houston
Very nice, new property. Definitely a good value if you have meetings/business in west or southwest Houston. Clean, comfortable and well maintained. Not convenient or close to Houston International airport and very remote from downtown Houston but a good value if you're traveling to Houston and need accommodations outside the city
