Book a hotel near Houston County Historical Society, Caledonia

"Our stay was awesome. We had a true blizzard during our stay. We could walk to everyplace. But the last day roads were so very bad we had to stay another day and they were awesome to us. We stayed in our same room and the price they gave us was great. The restaurant y at the hotel was good. Had a car show in the event center attached to the Hotel. Our rooms were all updated and awesome. New everything.. Stay was awesome. Only thing they probably Could have was another little end table by the chairs only had one between the beds. "

"The room was clean and spacious. Bathroom products were replenished. Complimentary breakfast was always hot and changed daily. Staff was very accommodating when we arrived late and needed to add extra days. Conveniently located next to Gundersen Lutheran hospital with underground connection. Signage between the hospital and hotel could be improved. Hotel offers a discount to visitors who have someone in the hospital when booked with the hotel directly."

"The room was very clean and comfortable. We had a slight issue with the bathroom, but it was attended to rught away. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. "

"I chose this hotel over a cheaper option because of the advertised amenities, river view, and noon checkout—but overall, it felt overpriced for the experience. I prepaid for breakfast through Expedia but was double charged, and the “complimentary” breakfast offered to make up for issues ended up being confusing and incomplete. The TV in my room didn’t work initially, the hot tub wasn’t hot, and we had to replace our key cards multiple times. The biggest frustration was the checkout time. It was advertised as noon, but I had to debate this with staff. I was also given a card offering accommodations, yet when I asked for a slightly later checkout and a ride to the train station, I had to go back to my room to prove it. Seems like this was the managers instruction, since the lobby attendant kept going to the back room to talk to them. Never did the manager ever come out and speak to me directly though. As someone in hospitality, I stayed patient and respectful, but it felt like I had to advocate for basic services throughout my stay. Overall, not worth the price. I will say one staff member who helped fix the TV and initially offered accommodations was great. Also all the front desk staff were very kind and communicative about the systems they were using being new. "
