There isn't anyone at the front desk at all times and it took some time to get checked in because of this. Other than that, whoever checked me in was pleasant and kind. The building itself could use some updating. The door to our room was shaky and did not open or close properly. The bathroom door would get stuck and whoever is outside would need to open it on their end or you'd be stuck inside the bathroom. Because we only stayed for one night, we didn't feel it was worth it to make complaints for a new room.

The dishwasher was running when we entered the room. We asked housekeeping and they said it needed to run its cycle. The cycle was completed. The dishwasher was packed with ALL of the dishes. They were not clean. No dish towels to hand wash the dishes. Fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate the hotel. Fire department came and we were allowed to return. We learned that this was the fifth fire alarm in past five months. Spend a little extra money and try other hotels along the river.

Expensively Served its purpose

Over all it was OK. I arrived after a day in a hot gym on the campus of UW Lacrosse. It was hot outside. I was expecting a refreshing and cool hotel. On the hotels.com website this hotel got very high ratings from customers but I did not see until after I had booked that the hotel was barely a 2 star. And that’s what it was. It as not but outdated. I could have stayed at higher star rating hotels for less but I choose to because I had family staying here. I would have never picked this place on my own and they are clearly over charging $189/night and they don’t clean rooms u til after your stay is done. For that price they should be cleaning daily. Also what was in the room for Sundries. I round bar of soap I tiny bottle of shampoo and Sam e size bottle of conditioner. The room was out dated the furniture cushions clearly flattened. Bed was decent Minimal lighting. The suitcase stand area was dark. They had a weird 2 tv situation with one mounted for the 2 queen size beds and one for the “suite area”. But the furniture was weirdly arranged so that no one in the “suite area” really looked at the tv. When I think suite I think Embassy suites. Where there is a door and a wall separating the bedroom from the living area. This was just one big room. The parking lot was lite ok. This is a 4 story hotel with only one ice machine across from the pool and fitness area. Which is no where near the bed tower. As I said it served its purpose but I way over paid for what I got.
