"Great location, walking distance to great shopping. Close to beach"
Nice place to stay especially for an extended vacation. Close to a lot of great shopping, restaurants and the beach. Pool was fun but cold, not heated. Rooms were very clean, I'm horribly picky and can always find something, this place had me feeling comfortable to walk without any slippers. Pillows were flat and hard but bed was ok.

"LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!!"
I would definitely recommend the Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort. The Hilton Village offers access to anything and just about everything, from shopping, eating, relaxation, travel arrangements, not to mention a bed perfect for falling into, after a days excitement. Truth is, the Hilton Village is a great vacation spot on it's own. However, they have a wonderful valet, and staff all around the facility to assist. The room was clean, and comfortable. Did I mention I loved the bed :) We stayed at the Kaila Tower, and it was perfect. I will say, coming back from our Big Island trip, the tourists on the bus, from Trump towers, Sheraton and even the Military hotel (which by the way, is next door, so you still have access to the Village :) ) where all a bit envious of where we were staying. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!! The best part, everyone was awesome! It's a resort over looking the beach, and Diamond Head. The lagoon is like it's own little beach, CLEAN, not to crowded, and if you're a couple, I recommend the Kayaking...fun! What more can I say, this is the place to stay!

"A Gem if you hate crowds!"
This was our first time in Oahu and pure luck that we chose this place. I don't think they do a good enough job of touting their location and lack of overpopulation. This hotel is very near to, but quite separate from, the Waikiki beach area. So you get a great resort, are still close to everything Waikiki offers, but don't have to deal with all the people. We went in to Waikiki a few times to eat, take a submarine ride, etc. and simply hated it! You can't go two steps without bumping into a tourist, most of which are loud and have no sense of a "personal bubble" of space. Kahala is beautiful, quiet and a joy to be at. If you want to go to Oahu and skip the crowds, Kahala is the place to go. Just make time to stock your hotel fridge and ask them for a microwave during your stay since the roomservice is no cheaper here than anywhere else in hawaii. With kids, it's great to have cereal, milk, snacks, etc. right in your room.

"Hilton Hawaiian grand vacations"
I was pleasantly surprised with the suite.  I knew it was Hilton and would live up to its name, but I never expected the size and beauty of what we got.  There were 5 of us so we needed space.  So I opted not to take the standard hotel route and go with a suite. It was more than that. It was an apartment!  2 full bedrooms, two baths, a spacious living room, dining room, and a full kitchen.  There was also free laundry room nearby. All was a part of a huge vacation complex right on the beach with multiple pools.  Close to most amenities our adult children wre able to entertain themselves without needing to use the rental car. The hotel staff were very nice. The only complaint wad was there was something that kept biting my daughter and we narrowed it down to the room.  Even though they did come change the sheéts, she was still getting bit each day.  Other than offer their condolences they did not admit fault, nor any compensation to amend for the problem.   We didn't press the issue.

From the moment we arrived, staff was very helpful , friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very clean, updated and spacious. The hotel had great amenities, which included free access to business center, gym and access to low cost laundry, also complimentary full breakfast buffet and evening happy hours. Can't wait to visit again!

"awesome hotel on the beach"
Outrigger was an excellent choice (If I do say so myself), great staff, there to do anything for your enjoyable stay. The hotel staff and all the people working the restaurants were ALL very nice and caring. The fact that this hotel does not charge a resort fee, made me pick it, however, the hotel was better than the resorts that did charge a resort fee!

It was great! But I Think resort fee is not reasonable. if hotel need to ask that fee, it must be optional. resotr fee to every guest is not good policy. I did not use hotel facilities.

"Still nice and prime location on the beach front"
Location is great and we had a partial ocean view meaning you will see a portion of ocean from balcony but not from the room. This is an "aged" resort hotel with glamorous days behind but still a comfy place to stay and relax. Our few days were packed with activities that we didn't get to enjoy any of its facilities, however.

"Average experience "
Great location to the beach and local stores. Disappointing pool hours (8am-7pm). Over priced buffet, and the sink water smelled in my room. When i booked my room i requested a partial ocean view with a king bed. When i checked in all they had was a city ciew and 2 twin beds. I had no other choice to pay $120 extra for a "upsell" to a king bed and partial ocean view. I guess a reservation doesnt mean youll get what you reserve...weird.
