I was unable to arrive the first night (Feb 23), so I contacted the front desk and told them I'd be there for the second night (Feb 24). They said they took note of it. However, when I arrived on Feb 24 they said my room had been given to someone else, and the hotel was full. There was no warning, and no attempt to help me to find an alternative.
This was my worst experience ever with a hotel in several decades of travelling, and I suspect I will never book a room in a Hilton again. I am still waiting to hear about room charges, a formal apology, and who exactly will be held accountable for it, and how.
