"The room was clean and quiet. It's a bit far from everything but that's easily solved by using their free shuttle bus. It takes you to the station every morning and you can have the station info desk call the hotel to come pick you up. The shower room needed some upgrades and replacement shower head. ..."

"I was in Japan for two weeks and stayed at 6 different hotels/ryokans. This was the most expensive place I booked because I wanted a relaxing experience, kaiseki meal and a private onsen. The Fujiya Hotel
"This was the most charming hotel with so much history and beautiful details. We stayed in the Angel room, which was gorgeous and spacious, and had an amazing view of the mountains. The gardens behind the property were so pretty with little walking paths and waterfalls. We loved the 1920's feel of the property. The staff were very helpful and attentive. Would highly recommend!"

Laforet Hakone Gora Yunosumika
"Booked only for one night. Wished we would have booked for another stay. Beautiful property. Utilize the free shuttle available from the train station to the hotel. Don’t attempt to walk especially if carrying luggage as there are steep hills. You will be asked to remove your shoes before entering hotel so make sure you have decent socks on as this is a shoeless property."
