I rate the property a one because the place is very old and the building needs to be knocked down and rebuild. My check in was nice. My room was on the second floor and going up the steps the carpet was very very very dirty. The bed covers and sheets was very dirty with a lot of Cigarette holes in it The Refrigerator was never cleaned dirty towel in the bathroom behind the door. I was ready to leave but my boyfriend said no let’s tough it out for one night. The two hotel that I booked for the weekend I’ll never stay there again

I contacted Travelosity to let them know that I was booked into the wrong Roadway Inn and wanted to change my reservation 2 weeks before my trip and the person I spoke to said she would get back to me and never did (very disappointed in travelosity!) so we stayed where we were booked. It was so nasty, cigarette burns all over the carpet and bathroom sink, room smelled of cigarette smoke, blood on the back of the bathroom door and hair in one of the beds!!

Checking in was fine. The gentleman working was so nice and pleasant to talk to. He was the only good thing about this hotel. As soon as I opened the door to my “non smoking room” I was overcome by the smell of smoke. It was disgusting. I tried to open a window to air it out, and the curtains came crashing down. The carpet was so disgusting I didn’t want to walk barefoot. I made my kids wear their shoes at all times. The sheets seemed clean but the blankets were old and totally covered in burn holes. In both beds. I could not believe that they would put those on the beds. The pillows were also so old and stained that I laid a few of our beach towels over them when we laid down. My 8 year old twins cried and begged me to leave because of how “gross and smelly“ it was. If it was not a late check in and already 1030pm, I would have left to find another hotel. I guess this is really an instance where you get what you pay for. Wish I had read more reviews since most say the same thing. I barely slept and we left as soon as we woke up. Ran into the front desk guy again ... who was still there 12 hours later! He was so kind again that I just didn’t have the heart to complain to him.

Second-floor rooms for the aged over-75 crowd should be avoided. The outside access to all 2nd-floor rooms are very steep, narrow, inadequate handrails, and carpeted with indoor/outdoor carpet, and very dirty. The center section stair treads are irregular in size; where a couple of these stair treads are smaller than most and can not be in accordance with any recognized industry standard. The room 220 that I was given has very old style indoor/outdoor carpeting, has a seam in the center room that is coming apart and is very dirty (probably not shampooed for several months). The morning shower was interesting, a very weak stream, no hand-hold bars installed to assist seniors with safe enter/exiting. I was disgusted to find my long back floating in the shower with me, where my thinning short hair in grey -- this caused me to believe the room had not been well cleaned. Thank goodness I brought a can of disinfectant spray and some disinfectant wipes that were used to clean this awful room. I stayed two days... should have departed after the first night. A Very Strong Recommendation: Do not stay at this highly unacceptable motel -- there are many other reasonable prices places in the greater Groton area -- go elsewhere!

Room was very good. & staff was excellent. The only thing that was bad was the room had no TV remote. The carpet had a few frayed spots but the bed was very comfortable. That in my eyes is much more important. The location was great for anyone going to the casinos. I will definitely stay there again.

Clean and updated cheap motel in back of a storage yard. Be careful not to miss the turn or you'll go over the themes river and your gps won't be able to get you back. Only 3 network channels but there is wifi. Wouldn't feel safe in the parkinglot alone at night. Bathroom was updated and clean. Climate system eorks and isn"t too noisy.

I guess you get what you pay for. I definitely would never pay more than $100 a night for this place. The first night our room reaked of marijuana. There was a huge crack across the window so we had to keep the curtains closed so our daughter would not touch it. The beds are really old and uncomfortable along with the one not so comfortable pillow per person. The mattress pad had a huge cigarette burn on it. One of the lamps did not work so the room was fairly dim- that could actually be a plus in this case. The room definitely could have been cleaned better. The front desk staff were very nice and I am sure if we had complained would have been accommodating. However, we assumed the rest of the rooms were probably not any better considering the outside appearance of this place.

I will make sure these issues are corrected in your room and again, I am sorry my staff did not catch these issues sooner but they will 100% be corrected.

Hotel over booked we didn't get what we paid for.

Pros: the hotel was close to where we were visiting so didn't have to travel too far.
Cons: could be a bit cleaner.
We got to the hotel around 7:30 PM and the front desk clerk asked if we minded 2 queen beds in non smoking? We booked in advance and paid for the King in non smoking and ended up with 2 queens because that is all they had left. The desk clerk told me straight up they over booked, she didn't appear fazed as it apparently is a practice of this hotel? We are 4 hours from home and we can not take the risk of getting to the hotel only to find they over booked and no rooms available after we already paid for the room in advance to avoid a situation like this from happening. I was terribly disappointed.
