Fantastic stay as always at one of Costa Rica’s most iconic resorts! If you need to stay close to San José or are looking for a truly special place to host an event, it really doesn’t get much better than the Marriott Hacienda Belén. The resort blends classic hacienda architecture with modern luxury, giving you the feeling of stepping back into old Costa Rica—without sacrificing a single comfort. From the hand-painted ceramics and tranquil courtyards to the grand neoclassical pools and sprawling tropical gardens, every detail is beautifully executed. The food is consistently five-star, and I always look forward to dining here. A special shout-out to Saray at reception, who worked her magic to get me into my room early before a big event and later helped me extend my stay—because one night just wasn’t enough! The staff here are friendly, professional, and always go above and beyond. Pura Vida, Marriott Hacienda Belén never disappoints

What an amazing property!! This place is beautiful! the service amazing and the people incredible. There is so much to do here! They have several free wonderful tours and activities. Their steakhouse was really the best meal we had in Costa Rica. I adored their manager who gave us the coffee tour. I seriously recommend this place to spend several days at!

The Marriott Hacienda Belen is the only hotel where I stay in San Jose. I have been there 15+ times as it’s the best way to finish a Costa Rica trip before getting back. The convenience of the shuttle to the airport is a must. This hotel has been consistent through the years with impeccable facilities, multiple food outlets, great brunch buffet, welcoming staff and pristine rooms. The place is just beautiful in a very special historic building. I have been recommending it to family and friends. I highly recommend!
