"great motel and so close to the beach"
We had a great time here. This motel is real close to the ocean and all the sights. We spent most of the days at the beach.

"Excellent resort, family friendly beach fun!"
Far exceeded our expectations! Very clean, spacious beach front resort. Friendly staff. There was never a problem getting a beach chair/umbrella. Bar service on the beach was a very nice touch. The complimentary kayak and stand up paddleboards were fun! Breakfast at Jack's was excellent - included for 2 folks and kids eat free (not sure of the age cut off, our 2 yr old was free). We will be back and would highly recommend this resort for you family vacation!

"Great vacation!"
My grandchildren (ages 6 mo. to 6 years) and I stayed a few days at the DiamondHead Resort on Ft. Myers Beach this summer.  It was a perfect location and the amenities were delightful - from the poolside lunch service, to the beachside umbrellas and chairs!  The hotel staff gave the best customer service I've had in years.  I will stay there soon as possible.  You'll love it!

"One resort, but 2 separate experiences..."
We didn't know when booking that there was a "north end" and a "south end" to the resort. The distance between the 2 was about 1.7 miles. Not much of a problem, as the resort provided shuttle trams between the 2 areas for convenience, BUT the 2 ends are somewhat different. If you're looking for a quieter stay (more for couples) I'd stay on the south end. If you're a family with kids or with a smaller group of people, I'd stay on the north side. North side has a couple restaurants, 3 pools and the water slides as well as a tiki bar- definitely a more "fun" scene/atmosphere. The beaches were easily accessible and were beautiful- resort provided towels and chairs to lay on as well as umbrellas. We were lucky to see dolphins swimming in the water a couple times. Our room had a small kitchen w/ fridge, stove, microwave- we grocery shopped off the island and was able to save some money by having drinks there and breakfast each morning. Definitely a great feature for us. Room was kept very clean by housekeeping- they were very friendly as well. :)

"Would stay again"
Best thing - the view! Our condo faced the bay as well as the gulf. We saw dolphins and sea turtles swimming right out in front of our condo. Wonderful sunsets! The condo could use a few updates but it grew on us quickly. It is generally taken very good care of. Many of the units are owned by long-term guests but all were very friendly. We were not located on the main strip but we liked it...nice and quiet, clean quiet beach. State park just down the road. There is no on-site manager (had to check in at a different location but it was on the way from the airport so it worked.) And when we needed something, we just called and they were very helpful and friendly. Overall, we would give it a 9 out of 10.
