"Great for the Price"
Room was clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. NO FRILLS here guys....but you aren't paying for them either. I liked the fact that the floors were bamboo-like laminate and not carpet. The grounds were being swept and picked up after constantly and showed well.

"Inexpensive, safe, nice staff, comfortable"
I stayed at this Days Inn at least 5 times during the illness and death of my mother, over a 1 year period. I also stayed at other local hotels, but I kept returning to the Days Inn on Menaul. These were not vacation trips, I was taking care of a parent; travelling to Albuquerque with no car, by myself, and I always felt safe at the Day's Inn. The staff were always nice, and I like having families around. Downtown Albuquerque itself is not great to be in on foot, at night. Some of the other larger hotels on Menaul felt too empty and spooky for me, even though they are newer and fancier. I also stayed at some other inexpensive hotels nearby which had bikers or other slightly scary people living in them. The Day's Inn crowd seems to be mostly families, tourists, some truckers. There's a good restaurant next door, so there is no need to forage. If you are staying more than a week you can get a room with a fridge and a small living room.

"Nice Hotel, not too family friendly.."
Very nice hotel... I really liked the set up and feel.. The water park was fun for the kids but the water was very high in chlorine and foggy.. I didn't think the rooms were family friendly.. They don't have mini refrigerators or microwaves to accommodate families with children..

"Room has WiFi. Room was clean. Swim Pool was nice"
Quick on & off exit from freeway. Staff was nice. Indoor pool, sauna, & spa was great. WiFi in the room was great. Wish TV was a little bigger. Plenty of towels in the restroom. On down I think was no safe in the room.

"This hotel had excellent customer service!!"
The staff at Western Star Inn was very courteous and as kind and helpful as a 5 star Hotel. They recently (not sure when) updated their rooms and the beds were so comfortable and ended up asking them where they got their pillows so I could purchase them and they sold me some brand new, they said so many people ask about them that they started selling them. Overall for an older property it is in decent shape and the pool and jacuzzi were very refreshing, we usually stay at a chain hotel but there was some sort of track event going on so had a hard time getting a room we are very gald we stayed here and we will come back the price was VERY affordable.

"Excellent for the price."
The rooms are spacious, clean and very nice. The only disappointing thing is that the access to the building is not available from every parking lot. If I want to be able to see my car from my room then I have to walk all the way around to get into the building.
