Adventure Hotels in El Cid from $226

"I was very UNHAPPY! First time being disappointed in Mazatlán. First off, there’s a limit to how many people can stay in a room and they charge for every person including children under 8! I don’t like going to a hotel where the staff wants to invade my privacy and wants to know who all is staying in my room including names and ages. Especially if I’m only paying for the room only not any amenities or meals. I am a very private person and I highly disliked that! Second off my mom and dad are American citizens who live in Mazatlán and wanted to visit me and their grandchildren and wasn’t allowed to enter the hotel with out a day pass!! Which was 980 pesos per day! That was outrageous to me. I was so offended they completely disregarded my feelings at the front desk. Lastly, while at the cabanas on the beach I was extremely annoyed with all the vendors constantly coming up to us asking if I wanted to buy items. I’ve been to Mazatlán plenty of times and I don’t need any items! I couldn’t relax peacefully at the beach without people soliciting us! Those vendors shouldn't be allowed to cross the line where guests are sitting at on the beach! I was so annoyed and ruined my relaxation moment! So disappointed coming from west Texas I don’t recommend staying here! "

"From check in to departure, I was treated with respect by all. Hotel is a bit outdated, but never hampered my stay. Only request would be for an earlier serving of coffee for us early risers. Perhaps 6:00-am"

"The ocean view from our room was spectacular. A/C worked well. We did have two days without hot water. One or two lights didn't work, but enough did. The staff was in all areas were excellent. "
