"This was our third and last time staying at the Sonesta Essential. The first two times were ok but still only rated as adequate. On the first night of this last stay my wife and I arrived later in the evening. When I took a shower there was no soap or shampoo in the shower dispensers. Not a big problem, we simply used the small bar soap on the sink counter. The following morning I told the guy at the front desk the soap and shampoo dispensers were empty and asked if he could let house keeping staff know they needed to be refilled. After coming back in that evening we found that hoyse keeping never came into our room at all. The bed had not been made, towels were not changed out, trash had not been emptied. I went back down to the front desk and asked for soap and shampoo and told then the room had not been made up. They dont understand or speak english very well. The guy at the front desk finally got me two clean towels and a dispensor of conditioner. I told him it was not soap or shampoo. He said it was, even though it said conditioner on the bottle. He gave me another small bar of soap instead. Said he would talk to house keeping in the morning. The room was filthy. The air conditioner motor was loud and kept us awake, sounded like bearings were goung bad. We finally turned it off and just opened the window. The breakfast offered was a joke, unless you like powdered eggs and cold nasty coffee. Never again!"

"Upon entering my room my hotel room had used wash cloths on the floor behind bathroom door. Someone put hand soap in the shower and did not place it back in the slide device by sink. Towels has stains on them. No plastic cups in room for water. Attempted to use ice machine but the machine was broken. Sheets were disgusting -ripped and the comforter had multiple stains on them (I think dried semen) as the stains were white and crusty. No iron. No hangers despite having the hanger hooks. Key card stopped working on the second day of my stay. No garbage can in bathroom."

"We loved our stay! The pool was a huge hit, and the house was perfect for our family gathering. The large table was great for meals and game nights, and there were plenty of chairs inside and out for everyone to relax.The pool speakers were fun. We loved connecting to Bluetooth and listening to music while swimming. The fire pit was another favorite, and the BBQ grill worked great. We even grilled during a rainy day thanks to the covered gazebo. The coffee maker was excellent, too!The house stayed cool the entire time, and we never ran out of hot water despite everyone showering. The beds and furniture were comfortable. Our host even shared some farm-fresh beef with us for one of our grilling nights, which was delicious and such a thoughtful gesture.A few notes for future guests: the flies and mosquitoes are bad (and annoying) in the summer, but that’s just Kansas! Bring bug spray or a bug fogger if you’ll be spending lots of time outdoors. There are outdoor cats that visit often. They were friendly and caused no issues for us. Also, pets have been in the house before. It didn’t bother us at all and seemed fitting for a hunting lodge, but it’s worth mentioning for those with sensitivities.We loved the hunting and farm decor. It felt very Kansas! The kids said the only thing that could make the house better would be a set of bunk beds.Overall, this is a wonderful place for families to gather, relax, and make memories together. Thanks for the fun stay!"

"There was no TV no Internet air conditioning was awful and if we wanted to leave our door would not lock unless we went and got the manager and she could lock the door with her card but I don't like that and the last 2 times I have stayed at this motel it has been the same way no TV no Internet bad dirty room with poor air conditioning"
