Unkempt property

This is an unkempt property. The pool wasn’t clean or appealing. Chipped paint throughout the property. Broken lights. Weeds outside. We got a decent night’s sleep on the saggy, squeaky bed. The front desk lady was kind at check in.

I notice odd smells. We had two motels previous to this one on our trip home. We will be here for 5 days. No bug deterrent smells, no carpet smell. Just normal. Air works, clean, and accommodating. The bed was comfy, and that's important for an older person. We are happy with the motel and the price was right.

Friendly, competent staff, clean rooms and lobby. Although it’s an older property, it has been updated. Elevator was slow, but no problems. Very quiet room. Breakfast looked good, but I only had time to grab a yogurt and coffee. Conveniently located for quick overnight stay.

While the staff was very nice, there were multiple issues. This is by far the most run down, dirty La Quinta Inn I've ever stayed in. Dirty bathroom, paint splotches/spackling that was left unfinished, either fleas or bed bugs left me with bites all over my body in the morning. I bought some snacks that supposedly cost $4.50 and was charged $450. Granted, it was a mistake, but I'm the one who caught it the next day. I wasn't expecting a 4 star experience, but this was shocking. Can provide pictures if requested.

We stay at least once a year it’s really starting to show it’s age with non operational doors to the rear of the building the elevator is very noisy and very slow I actually got stuck in it one evening for about 5 minutes I used the stairs for the remainder of our stay also had to get my key card reactivated everyday this has happened the last couple times we’ve stayed

Shower had tape on floor bottom gross and broken in 4 places black showing, Room smelt, No tv remote. Lady was rude at counter was rolling her eyes. Carpets gross so needs upgrades. Did not even want to walk on the floor barefoot. Rundown. Bed was hard, Food was good and kitchen staff friendly.
