Hotel and rooms had everything we needed. They were clean, and walking distance to all of the major attraction in downtown Dublin. Safety was not an issue since all the doors had key entry both inside and out and there was 24 hour staff at the front desk. Breakfast was offered every morning from 6:30 AM to 10 AM and consisted of traditional Irish breakfast. Everyone was equipped with a stove, top burner, microwave, refrigerator, and all the utensils and dishes and pots and pans you needed if you decided you would like to cook for yourself in your room. Access to grocery store with nearby so you could purchase food items that you would need. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Offering assistance on the best restaurants, pubs, and local can’t miss attractions. They also ordered taxis for pickup when we were in need of a ride. Great place to stay

Great stay at Staycity Aparthotels, Dublin Castle. Convenient location. Very clean. Traveled with our two adult children and their spouses. Rooms very clean. All pans/dishes/Nespresso maker, hot water pot, toaster available for cooking in room but will need to supply all of your own food items (including oil, spices, salt/pepper, etc). Only one dishwasher pod, so ask for more if needed. Generic shower gel doubles as shampoo, so if you need true shampoo/conditioner, you will want to bring your own. No A/C, heat only. They have a tower fan in each room, but rooms can be stuffy/a bit warm (the end of Sept) even with the window open. Free 24 hour laundry facilities with soap provided, but only one washer/dryer so plan accordingly. Breakfast available of only croissants/coffee downstairs. Would recommend Rosie's Cafe down the street for breakfast/early lunch! A good place to stay if in town longer than a weekend.

This property does not have air conditioning in the rooms. Had we known that prior to booking, we would have not chosen this property. The rooms are small and spartan, there is not a daily room cleaning service unless you are willing to pay an extra 20 euros, there are no outlets in the bathroom for a hair dryer, curling iron, etc., and the lack of mirror space in the rooms make it difficult for two people to get ready at the same time. The staff was friendly, but not overly accomodating. The hotel is in more of a residential area and not close to many pubs or restaurants.

The alarm kept going off in the room when we toasted bread, no air conditioning in most rooms so you need to leave the window open to get air. You get hot sleeping because there is a down comforter only and no single sheet. Kitchenette sink is very small to rinse off used dishes before using the dish washer. You end up rinsing your dishes in the bathroom sink. Staff was nice and the room was clean. Spoke with other guest about my concerns and they all agreed they had the same issue. I would spend the extra money and get a regular hotel that offers a free breakfest to avoid the hassle of a useless kitchenette.

Great Location

Located very near to central Dublin attractions - walking distance to all of Temple Bar (5 - 10 minutes), nearby Saint Patrick's Cathedral, Christchurch Cathedral, St Auboen's Church, Dublinia museum and Dublin Castle - (all within 5 minutes), Saint Stephen's Green (20 minutes), Guinness Storehouse (20 minutes), Kilmainham Gaol (30 minutes), Connolly Station (25 minutes). Room was small but adequate.

Good location, close to Dublin Castle. Safe area. The street noise was pretty loud and due to no air conditioning the room was quite warm without the window fully open. Had to compromise with noise to keep the room under 26°c. Great to have laundry on site - made easy work of packing up. Would book again just maybe avoid during peak summer heat.

The hotel had everything you need for a comfortable stay and many tourist destinations, restaurants and pubs are an easy walk. Access to a free washing machine and dryer was a bonus for a mid-vacation laundry session. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Amazing staff and cannot recommend enough!

I can't recommend this location enough. We stayed five nights and we were completely comfortable. Great shower, comfy bed, and the kitchenette is so helpful when traveling for such a long time. The hotel staff was such a delight and Robin was particularly helpful and friendly. We had a slight problem with our room the first day, and she was so attentive, adjusting for and moving us to another room immediately and kindly arranging our taxi back to the airport for our trouble. The problem with the original room was fixed the next day so they have a great internal support for any problems that arise, even on a weekend. Overall, great location, we could walk anywhere we needed within a 20-minute radius, great restaurants, a grocery, and a convenience store a block or two away. Wifi was very reliable, though not secure. This was my first time staying with this chain, and I'm already planning on using them again for next summer's travel in Europe! A great choice for a home base in Dublin while venturing out for day trips as well as exploring the city.

A single sold as a double!

Our room was nothing like the description, photos and was not what I paid for. This was a single room at best. There was a huge pillar right in the middle of the room which made getting around an already tight space almost impossible. The bed was against a wall and only accessible from one side, with about a foot gap to navigate. We couldn't use the table and chairs as one chair was wedged behind the table and not accessible, the other hit the pillar when trying to use! The wardrobe door hit the main door closing arm when trying to open so was difficult to access. Pillows were rock hard. Reception said they'd call us when room was ready, they didn't. Overall, a very poor experience. I wouldn't stay again.
