Birthday trip for my wife

Pros: Location, price, cleanliness and appearance
Cons: This is an older hotel and it is what you would expect in that regard. However, the rooms could use an iron and ironing board.
Location: The is just north of the river and allowed for easy access by foot to all of Dublin.
We arrived at the hotel around 5:30pm. It was dark, but the hotel was buzzing with activity, both inside and out. The Parking lot was around back and was secured with an electronic gate that could only be opened by the front desk, Similarly, the back door from the hotel was electronically controlled by the front desk. Needless to say, I felt that we and our belongings were very safe in the hotel. The rooms were spacious by European standards and even had a balcony that provided a nice view of the Dublin skyline. The was a nice jumping off point for a walk around the city as well as being far enough out of the city that it provided a nice egress to other parts of Ireland without a lot of traffic issues. The staff was incredibly nice, helpful and professional.

Hotel was warm and cozy. Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly.

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
Location was wonderful for touring Dublin without being in the noisy party district. Room was warm, comfortable, and quiet. Bar and restaurant were small but good. Front desk staff could not have been more helpful. Wonderful place to stay.

Great Staff substandard rooms

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
Cons: Noisy, restaurant expensive, poorly maintenanced rooms, no free breakfast
We booked this hotel because we thought it was the best value for the money. We first arrived to friendly staff and was advised that we had a room with a view. We were at first happy with the news, until we got into our room. We had holes in the wall due to the trouser press being pulled out, stains on the ceiling and walls, unclean room and the bathroom looked like the bathtub was pulled away from the wall or not calked. We asked for another room and was given the executive suite on the other portion of the hotel. We had quite a lenthy and odd walk to the room. The hallways and elevators stunk. We later found out that they had an unfortunate leak on the 3rd floor and it affected the subsequent floors. The room in the executive suite was nice and well groomed, but we could not get over the stink in the hallway. We asked for another room and were then shown several others. All of which had similar issues. We stayed in the last one we were shown, because we were simply tired of looking. The windows faced the interior courtyard (if you can call it that) where birds were nesting and noisey from 4:20am to 10:30 pm. We barely slept. The location of the hotel is in Parnell Square and centrally located. The staff was always friendly and went above and beyond to book tours and rental cars and of course show new rooms. The lobby was well maintained. Unfortunately, the rooms were a deal breaker. If we do go back to Ireland and get a hotel in Dublin, it will not be the Cassudy hotel~simply because of their poorly maintenanced rooms.

Very friendly and helpful; excellent location

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, helpful staff
This is a really nice hotel in a great location for everything in Dublin. The staff could not have been more helpful. Wi-fi was available in the room at no charge and we had no problem connecting. The only problem we had was the flush mechanism on the toilet was tricky because the tiles around it were broken. I'm sure that if we had complained they would have fixed it. Great hotel and I would stay there again.
