"It looked like a chocolate shake exploded up under one of the lampshades in the room. Other than that, which was quite disgusting, I have no complaints about the cleanliness or condition of our room. It’s obviously something the housekeeping staff overlooked, as it was only really visible from below it.
Also, the hotel valet parking was $65/night. That’s higher than any major city I’ve been, including Chicago, which is legendary for being outrageous. The hotel staff said it was high due to the auto show that was going on at the time. That also is a turn off. Hotel guests should not be gouged for their parking fees - we expect the room rates to vary based on local events, but not the parking."
