The room was perfect. Breakfast was ok. Property is a bit dated but, still in great shape. Location is perfect. We had an issue with the hot tub. First night, my son’s fiance went for a dip and ended up with green hair and scalp. We thought possibly due to the blonde highlights reacting to the chlorine. The front desk attendant didn’t seem too concerned. We ended up going to a salon to have a retreatment. Her hair still has green highlights a week later. Next night my youngest son decided to take a dip. He came out with green stains all over his arms, face, neck, and scalp. We took pictures the second time. Basically all exposed skin. The gentleman at the front desk that night immediately took care of the issue, by treating the water. Although, we did not use the pool or hot tub anymore.
The morning we checked out(Monday Jan 5) the desk clerk apologized about the experience, told me the copper pipes and chlorine had a chemical reaction. Ok. She then assured me I would receive a $50 credit (it is shown on my receipt) and the hotel was also going to credit my Choice Awards with 5000 points. Fair enough. Well, I never received the $50 and my points balance hasn’t budged. Easily resolved for 4 stars. I think honesty and follow through are telling of an organization.
