Recurring Festivals and Events
Since 1914, the last weekend in April has meant the kick-off of the Clovis Rodeo, the biggest annual event in the city. The rodeo begins with a spectacular parade and continues with concerts and dances as well as remarkable roping and riding contests. Another big annual event is ClovisFest, a fun festival in September with more than 200 craft, commercial, and food vendors, a beer garden, and live musical entertainment. Big Hat Days, the largest two-day festival in Central California, comes to Clovis every April. It includes a carnival, petting zoo, pony rides, and 11 blocks of stalls and shops. Every Friday night there's a farmers' market in Old Town.
