The art is fun and the rooms are good. I was disappointed with the restaurant which was a high point of my previous stays. The property is well cared for and is in an excellent location.

Just OK

The hotel is cool. I've stayed at another 21C and had a much better experience though. The staff at this particular one is very lazy...all the way down to the bellmen. The only person that was nice and on top of things was the valet person when we arrived. He was very efficient and helpful. I don't recall his name. I will not stay at this hotel again though. The checking counter/desk: the ladies (3 of them) just stared as we checked out early the next morning after our stay...not a "thank you" or "how was your stay." They all sat on their stools and just watched us load our car (valet didn't help!). The valet person upon checkout stood there and talked to the ladies at the desk as we (2 females) loaded our car that he had pulled around for us...and he turned the car off (it was 12 degrees outside so we got in a cold car). I don't feel like the staff was friendly...rather very "judgy" for lack of a better word. Gift shop: I asked about prices of some items in the gift shop...which took forever to find out b/c nothing had a price on it and nobody knew without having to go to the back (taking forever) to get pricing. The lady even said "I don't know why they don't tell us prices. It's stupid, I know." I just feel overall, this boutique hotel could be SO much better if they had better trained staff. A smile, a hello, an urgency to help...any of that would have been appreciated! The lazy staff takes this 4.5 star to a 2 at the very most. Disappointing!!!

Great boutique hotel .

A very cool boutique hotel with the most accommodating staff of any hotel we know. The rooms are very spacious. We enjoyed looking at the art. The Metropole restaurant in the hotel is very good and the roof top bar is a must. We had a spa day in the hotel spa and it was amazing. I would recommend Barbara for skin and Ben for massage work. All in all a fantastic experience. We will go back.

Great hotel in excellent location.

Pros: Decor, spaciousness, friendly, efficient staff.
Cons: include directions for the coffeemaker.
Location: lots of nice restaurants and the symphony and opera across the street.
Efficient check in with friendly service. Hotel was unusual in excellent small museum and great collection on each floor. Room was very spacious with nice amenities.

Nice Hotel

Pros: Modern feel and location
Very nice, ultra modern hotel. The staff were particularly friendly and welcoming. Good location and within walking distance to the main attractions.
