How to get through airport security fast when traveling to Sorrento
If you like the idea of spending more time at the airport bar and less time moving through security on your way to Sorrento, follow these suggestions:

  • Ensure your travel ID and boarding pass are easy to access. You'll need to present them straightaway.
  • Be aware that belts with metal buckles can set off the body scanner's alarms. If you have one on, you may be instructed to place it in a tray before proceeding.

Simply take a bus toward Acton-beverello or a short cab ride to Napoli Beverello, where you can then catch the Napoli Beverello–Sorrento ferry. It will cross the bay in about 45 minutes, and you can enjoy prime views of gorgeous cliffside homes on one side and Mount Vesuvius on the other.
