How to get through airport security fast when traveling to Positano

Make your trip to Positano a little bit easier by following these useful security tips:

  • Security personnel will request to see your boarding pass and passport at the checkpoint. Store them in a convenient place, ready for inspection.
  • Bear in mind that metal belt buckles can set off the body scanner's alarms. If you have one on, you may be asked to place it in a tray before proceeding.
  • Electronic items such as laptops, cameras and phones are always put through the X-ray machine separately. Be sure they're easily accessible.
  • Traveling with your favorite perfume or cologne? As long as it's no greater than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) and it's placed in a clear resealable plastic bag, you can keep it with you in your carry-on luggage.
  • Security personnel may instruct you to take off your shoes before entering the body scanner. Wear a pair that you can slip off easily. There's nothing worse than having to do up your laces again and again.
  • Put any multi-tools or other sharp items in your checked luggage. Security personnel don't allow these on the aircraft.
