The hotel bar and restaurant were closed upon arrival our first day and things only got worse. We heard every conversation of neighboring rooms and could hear every person walking past our room. We came back on the second night to our neighbor blasting music and woke up to kids screaming and running down the hall in the morning. The view was overlooking another terrace, not a sea view. Definitely not worth the $1400 that we paid just for 2 nights. Do not stay at this hotel.

About the room view, our concierge at your arrival has been at your disposal in order to suggest you that if you haven't been happy about it we could have been able to show you a different room located on another floor with another view space. When concierge contacted you again to show it you answered that the room was fine. We came to learn today that you had problems with noise in your room due from other guests and we are really, really sorry about that. It is disappointing for us when something, starting from little things, does not live up the expectations and we are writing to you just to inform you that we have provided to talk about your feedback with the management who is truly apologize too for this inconvenient. We hope you can choose Hotel Montemare for your next visit on the Amalfi Coast, we will be more than happy to welcoming you again.
