I made a reservation a week in advance using Travelocity. I worked that Friday and got my family packed up and ready to go. After driving 4 hours and arriving around 10:30 pm with my diabetic mom we were told that our reservation was not going to be honored. They were booked up and could not help us. We were traveling on a strict budget and it took us another hour to locate a room that we could pay for. We ended up paying three times what were budgeted to for the hotel and my mom was so stressed out worrying about where we were going to stay that here sugar was messed up all weekend. At one time it was 532. I will never trust a reservation sight again.

The smell of mold is what you notice first. After that, the sticky floors, threadbare comforter, and oddly stained chairs are barely noticeable.

The room was dirty. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. The dead bolt on the door didn't want to latch. I had to fight with it to get it to turn. The paint was chipped and peeling in multiple places, there was water damage on the ceiling above the toilet. The shower was filthy. The TV wouldn't turn up above about 50% volume. The headboard was broken in spots. The only upside is that the air conditioning worked decently well

breakfast visitor

room was reat but I didn't enjoy the unwanted visitor at reakfast. Acockroach ran acrosss the table during breakfast.

Thanks for everything!

Thank you so much with all of your help with our stay this past week. We appreciate all of the extra work you had to do to make our stay comfortable. After a hard day on mission projects it was good to come back to an air conditioned room and shower. Thanks to all your staff that had anything to do with the week - cooks, servers, housekeeping and more. The food was excellent - especially the banquet. Thank you for helping make our stay comfortable so we could do our mission work better.

Great restaurant on site

Love the Christian atmosphere

We are your loyal customers due to the "Christian atmosphere" at Mountain View Inn. WE have stayed 16 Nights this year, and will be staying more nights in 2010. All the employees have been friendly. The customer service has been professional. I have seen great teamwork in the leadership. They have been a great help in booking my reservations as well as finding information about the area. Please accept my thanks and appreciation for a great place to stay! God bless you.

Highly recommended = American Owned and Service Primo

Refreshing to see the actual owner available, friendly and approachable. I have stayed all over the world and most hotels are similar. This one stands out due to the normal requirements: Clean, Nice Swimming Pool, etc..but- Exceptional: Service, FOOD in the restaurant and the VIEW is incredible!!! Excellent value for the price!!!

Unacceptable lodging!

Do not stay here....bed was sagging in middle, spider crawling in bed when covers turned back, mold in bathroom on shower head and knob, housekeeping made up one bed and left the other unmade (?)...could tell this hotel needs lots of updating and renovating. I will never stay here again and have advised my daughter who lives in this town and has a high profile job to not recommend this establishment to any of their executives.
