For this level of hotel that it is, it is very nice. Attractive and clean rooms. Good parking. 24 hr available staff. I do think they ought to put some bottled water in the rooms, but they do sell it. And it was quiet!

I am not sure what may have been going on at the hotel, but we did not have bath towels and when we requested housekeeping only once during a four night stay, while new towels were dumped on top of the toilet (?) nothing else was taken care of in the room. Bed was unmade, trash was left while a couple of bins were emptied and a roll of small trash bags was left behind. Seemed left mid way as empty cups were left and coffee service was not resupplied. We were in town for a family event and we had 3 rooms. All had issues with towels etc.

The pictures of the hotel posted here on Expedia and the reasonable price is what intrigued me to book. The Tuscan themed architecture was so nice imho. Having my morning coffee and breakfast sandwich from the hotel kitchen. Enjoying it while sitting in the beautiful indoor piazza in the middle of the hotel was so cool! Loved it! Friendly courtious staff. Rooms were a little dated, but very clean. My only issue was the super soft matress. Trying to get out of the plush super soft bed was almost comical. Most hotels have either firm or medium mattresses. Nevertheless I would stay there again.

This is an old vintage hotel, it has so much character and the hospitality is above and beyond! The hotels staff are ethically diverse with beautiful sense of community in welcoming guests! The honey moon suit was exceptional and wonderful to be able to take lounge in personal sauna tub for two. I’ll be back again when visiting family in Buffalo

Lady at checkout was lovely The rooms were spacious and clean The only negative, the side entrance was keyless entry. It’s nice not having to put your key in to enter especially if you’re carrying a lot but for a security reason I think it should be fixed. It looks like it’s been out of commission for some time

Terrible mattress, television did not work ,no breakfast as in the past -coffee etc. No response from staff to address the television despite calling twice and they agreed to address - no show three nights in a dirty room . Will not return to this hotel .

Me and my wife stayed there for our anniversary, we opted for the Jacuzzi suite, we were looking forward to get a few drinks at the hotel bar which the website stated was open till 11:30. When we got to the hotel we found that our Jacuzzi tub had a hole in the inside of it, which was patched with packing tape.... When I pushed on the tape covering the hole, old bath water came out.... So NO on that.. we then headed to the bar which we couldn't find, I asked at the front desk, the man looked confused, the other lady said it was closed for remodeling?? So we just watched TV and went to bed. The hotel is cool a dose have potential.

I would describe the Garden Place Hotel as a step above a Super 8, said with no bias against Super 8. A Super 8 gets the job done—convenient location, bare minimum amenities, good price. The same is to be said for this hotel. While the lobby is grand, the rooms leave much to be desired. A major renovation is overdue, and we saw signs of perhaps the beginning of that process. The stay met our needs and we would stay again. A major improvement, aside from the big things like new carpets, would be to include a mini bar/snacks. Or at the very least a vending machine on each floor. There was a concession stand from which you could purchase snacks at the front desk, but that is an entire extra step that we did not want to take in a post-flight sleep haze.

If you can get past the incredibly tacky decor, the poor internet, disappointing sauna and lack of bar or restaurant, the rooms are quite spacious and comfortable and the price is very reasonable.
