Staff Experience

The hotel was clean and comfortable. We expected there to be dishes available, but that was my oversight for not reading the hotel information more carefully. We arrived late due to train delays but called ahead to inform the hotel. Unfortunately, the check-in experience was unpleasant—the staff member who assisted us was unfriendly and seemed irritated, and I had to call multiple times before he responded letting us in the hotel. (It appeared he had just woken up, though that’s just an assumption.) Over the course of our stay, we interacted with three different employees—two were unfriendly, but one was very kind and helpful. Overall, we would consider staying here again, mainly because we didn’t require much interaction with the staff.

The room was fine except it was right next to the lobby/front desk and throughout the night loud talking and phone ringing could be heard and disrupted our sleep repeatedly. This particular room should have some additional sound proofing or staff should take care to be quieter when conversing at night.

Pleasantly surprised by the size of the room, it had an adequate kitchen but you had to get dishes etc from the shop by the front desk. It was conveniently located for our exploration of Bismark.
