The poor lighting disguised the dirty floor marginally well, as did the half window with the upper half providing a great view of the parking lot. It wasn’t until headlights shone in that I really was able to see the gross gunk on the windows. Requested a quiet room and placed adjacent to nightclub. Drunken bar-closers banged on door at 2:10 am looking for room party, returning at 2:15. Calls to front desk were unanswered. Vending machine was almost empty. Clearly the “do not disturb” sign didn’t work against the bar patrons. Likewise, the “please make up this room” sign was also ineffective as housekeeping did not clean the room or make the bed during my stay. That is, until 8:30 am of my checkout morning when, despite the DND sign, housekeeping began to enter while I was still sleeping without knocking. NOTE: There is no way to lock the door from inside. Housekeeping returned less than an hour later (9:15) inform me I was supposed to check out (which was 11). I told them I would remove the sign when I left and to stop trying to come in. They didn’t like that. This room was horrifically overpriced for a sub ground level. Good notes: The Asian restaurant was delicious. The coffee shop was fantastic also (be sure to request voucher - front desk neglected to provide mine) and the young woman at the desk when I checked out was darling. I don’t blame the lousy service or management on her - she wasn’t there at any other time. Absolutely not returning. Ever.

We got the hotel room simply to take our son swimming and the indoor pool was so cold you couldn’t even swim at all. Really a disappointment for the price.

This place is falling apart. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. Our room reeked terribly, a combination of cigarette smoke and mold from the disgusting indoor pool area. The indoor pool area needs immediate mold remediation. It is like a horror film. And the mold it spreading through the hallway ceiling and you can see the mold and rust on the ceiling far and wide. The hotel rooms offer a combination of cheap upgrades andareas falling apart. Our bathroom door did not close, that was fun. You can tell the new investment group that own it does not care. Or has very low standards. The restaurants are super slow, tasty, but do not go hungry. One other example, out of many uncomfortable moments here, was when a large group of rowdy, loud, rude guests, were spilling drinks and tracking them all over the place while we were trying to eat as a family. The staff seem like they are living in the twilight zone, they are lovely, but clearly they know things are going down hill. We read this used to be family owned, most of the reviews are probably from the good old days, beware of the bad news days...

The receptionist saved the visit - otherwise it would have been tougher! The place was probably cool once but needs ALOT of work. The food was actually pretty good - glad I went once because it’s a unique space but probably won’t be rushing back.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

The hotel is not as advertised. The pictures online are very beautiful but the hotel itself is not even close to the pictures. They charges you for EVERYTHING!!! breast, water, etc…the rooms are sooo outdated and freezing!!! The hallway smells so bad and cold too. The air vent kept coming on even when turned off. The walls are so thin, like me and my man couldn’t sleep because the next door neighbor were fighting and bickering. The fire alarm will come on for absolutely no reason. I will never stay here again!

The hotel was dated. The pool was initially closed but then opened. The pool area was in very bad shape. The jacuzzi room was closed. The outdoor grounds were very good. The nature and the river view was beautiful even with it being frozen. The staff was amazing helped whenever I needed anything and very friendly. Didn’t get a chance to eat aside from the breakfast which was quick and decent. The waitress was very good and pleasant.

It was prettier outside than your average hotel. The large glass doors were super cold, though, and I would not recommend them in winter months. Breakfast was the same every day-eggs and link sausage, plus a waffle station, bagels/toast, coffee, tea, and hot water. The pool was closed for cleaning, even though I specifically called before booking to make sure it would be open-which was a bummer. I am sure it is prettier in the summer. Also, I found out I actually spent more $ booking 3rd party, which was also a bummer.

AMENITIES WERE NON EXISTENT

All the amenities were closed. The pooo “being serviced” the first night we arrived and everyday they said it would open the next day. We stayed three nights and it never opened. The gym was closed (no reason given) and the spa was not a spa it was a sooon with NO massage therapist that offered spa services. I reached out to Hotels.com and they refused to reimburse me. We went to the casino close by to use the spa, never were able to use our bathing suits and we booked based off amenities and distance. There were plenty of hotels in the area with pools and I was denied my request for Hotels.com to book me a place for at least the last evening. The hotel front desk concierge/ night audit/ manager did however put us in a nicer room. I booked Panasonic view king and it was musky and felt dirty. We had a nicer room without a balcony of course Ike of the things I wanted when booking.
