"There is a lot to do at this resort. Our room was clean, fine/basic, with no air conditioning. It included a good breakfast and hot springs. There were many restaurants on the property, but only two were open. Mirador, which had a beautiful view and plenty of seating. It had good food, but was expensive. ..."

Bagaces Hotel & Travel Guide\n
It's best to start your planning early, as there aren't many rooms in or close to the main area of Bagaces.
The Borinquen Mountain Resort & Spa, Costa Rica, which is the closest accommodation option, is positioned 20 miles (33 kilometers) from the heart of Bagaces. A secondary close option is the Celeste Mountain Lodge, located in Costa Rica, 20 miles (33 kilometers) from downtown Bagaces.
The Rio Perdido can be found about 6 miles (9 kilometers) from the downtown precinct of Bagaces. Also, the Hilton Garden Inn Liberia Airport is about 18 miles (29 kilometers) away. Alternate options include the Canon de La Vieja Lodge and the Hacienda La Pacifica.
50 miles (79 kilometers) away from Bagaces, you'll reach Nosara, where you can visit Safari Surf School and Frog Pad. If you get to Nosara, check out the rooms at the LAcqua Viva Resort & Spa and The Harmony Hotel. For another option, stay in Carrillo, 50 miles (80 kilometers) to the south of Bagaces, where you have the options of the Villas Playa Samara Beach Front Resort - All Inclusive and Hotel Guanamar. If you stay in Carrillo, make sure you visit the Samara Beach and Carrillo Beach.
While in town, don't miss out on experiencing the high energy with Guanacaste - North Pacific Coast sports obsessives at a local game. Tronadora Arena is located 25 miles (38 kilometers) to the east of Bagaces. Wise travelers who enjoy the ease of booking a hotel close to the game, make a reservation in the Hotel Puerto San Luis or Hotel Cielo Azul Resort.
If you're traveling into or out of Daniel Oduber International Airport and plan to stay nearby, check out Hotel Rincon del Llano or Hotel Santa Ana Liberia Airport.

Hotel Boyeros
"We needed a place to stay after flying in and before driving to La Fortuna the next day but wanted something more authentic/local than the American chains. This place suited our needs. It really is a little oasis in the middle of a pretty run down block on the edge of Liberia. The barbed wire and high fence surrounding the property shocked us a bit, but the rooms all face inwards around a beautiful garden and lovely pool, patio, and hot tub. We felt secure because of the fence and gated parking. The included breakfast was very nice. The restaurant was good, and staff lovely. This is clearly a very old hotel and a bit run down (our bathroom), but everything was very clean and in fine working condition. The kids were very happy and spent hours in the pool after our long travel day."
