We had a group of about 10 come for a girls' trip and everyone absolutely adored the house, which was so cute and well stocked with all the utensils we could have wanted for cooking in the kitchen, but our favorite part of all was the backyard--it was a wonderful spot to hang out and relax. The location was incredibly convenient for access to all the places we wanted to see in Austin, and it was a 2 minute walk over to Terry Black's bbq! Would 10/10 come back and stay here again.

Cozy space, in an absolutely fantastic location, with a lovely fire pit. Easy parking for a few vehicles. A great place to meet up with friends and tackle Austin together.

Please know that I am a 5 star guest and have never had a problem VRBO’ing a place. This house was very dirty, white stains on the couch, clothes left, baseboards and walls filthy, cracks and chipped paint on the walls, missing blinds, and cracked counters. The biggest issues besides the cleanliness is that you have to back up on to a very busy street to get out of the driveway and the master DOES NOT have a door to the bedroom even though in 3 places it said a 3 bedroom rental. We did not stay and chose to rent another place it was so bad. Host was belligerent and refused to refund our money. Absolutely horrible experience.

Buyer beware. The home is infested with cockroaches and is not habitable.The linens were not clean.The dishwasher and the washer machine both had mold in them.We tried to run them on the sanitize program-but it took four times to get the smell to diminish. The middle room smelled like urine. There were stains on all of the seats and couches.The air filter was filthy. We reported all of this to the owner/manager. We did not stay the entire time due to the horrid conditions. We had to leave at midnight because once the lights were on-the roaches scattered in all of the rooms. The owner/manager sent a reimbursement for under 150-which is insignificant. Additionally, the owner/manager was responding using AI software--so that highlights the level of care and respect for renters.

Upon check-in, the unit had an immediate and extremely strong fish odor coming from the refrigerator and freezer that spread throughout the entire property. The smell was persistent and made the space extremely difficult to occupy. We contacted property management right away and were told the issue would be addressed.Despite multiple follow-ups with both management and the host, no one entered the unit to inspect or clean the refrigerator or freezer during our stay. Instead, a deodorizing item was left at the door without any attempt to address the source of the odor. Because the refrigerator and freezer were unusable, we were unable to store food or cook, which significantly impacted the functionality of the unit.We were forced to vacate the property early. This disrupted a planned multigenerational family holiday stay.

Five lifelong friends (all late 50s) stayed here to watch our Patriots in the Super Bowl. The Pats let us down. The house did not.Location is the star. Terry Black's BBQ is around the corner. Rainey and 6th Street are technically walkable for younger folks (we Ubered like wise elders). Nine-minute walk to Lady Bird Lake if you're feeling ambitious.The space worked perfectly for our group. Five beds meant zero awkward "are we spooning?" moments. The backyard setup gave us plenty of room to spread out, play cards, and crank 80s rock at irresponsible volumes.Management was very responsive throughout.For the price, you're getting a lot of house in a prime location.A few minor issues to note: The king suite mattress has a sinkhole in the center that could swallow a mid-sized dog. A couple of frying pans were put away dirty. The downstairs shower caulking is discolored and needs replacing. Did any of this really matter, nope.Bottom line: Great location, great value, plenty of space. Would we book again? Without hesitation.Would we like our team to NOT break our hearts next time? Also yes. But that's not this place's fault.
