I purchase my stay through Expedia. We arrived at the property at 1130pm. The lobby was full of customers… I made sure my 84yr old mom was comfortable in a chair and I waited for my turn in line. When I got to the desk the customer agent stated that he didn’t have rooms available for me and he needed to take care of the other customers with voucher. I showed him my reservations and told him I was paid in full and I should have the room’s available for my reservation. He proceeded to tell me to step aside and wait. I informed him that my mom was elderly and I needed a room asap for her. He finally gave me 1 room for her but insisted that he didn’t have another room for myself and husband to come back after he took care of the other customers in line. I settled my mom in the room and headed back to the lobby around 230-245am. Then the customer agent shouts out to everyone in line that he only had 3rooms available for the three people in line. I approached the service desk again to asked for my refund when the agent told me that the 2nd room I had paid for was available.
I should’ve been taken care of the first time at reached the counter the agent shouldn’t had to have me wait til’ 230-245am for my2nd room.
Moreover, The lobbies and bedrooms had a distinct smell of smoke. Therefore I have given this hotel such a low score. Customer service should always be their first priority.
