Didn’t have coffee at 6:30am. Nothing until 7am. Front desk tried to find some and offered orange juice which was nice. But thought it was strange. All hotels at least have coffee out early.

Once we checked in I found long black hair all over the bathroom floor, the carpet looked as if it had not been vaccuumed at all. Then when we picked up one of the pillows and the one under it had terrible stains and more long black hair. The experience was disgusting. I had to get us moved and the second room was better, but we had been driving all day long and the last thing we needed was to pack up and have to move a second time. The property looks lovely on the surface, but our experience shows I you surely can't judge a book by its cover.

We had an executive suite booked with a king, a Murphy bed and a sleeper sofa. We were going to be a late check in because of a soccer game for my son so I called the hotel around 7:30 pm the evening of check in to notify we would be an after midnight check in since we had to drive 4 hours. I was assured that it would not interfere with my reservation. I was told “no problem at all. Upon checking in, I was told my room wasn’t available any longer and would have to accept a king room with sleeper sofa. It was late, I was tired and since that was the only inventory left, I reluctantly took it. I spent 40 minutes with an Expedia agent who let me know that management would reach out to me the following morning to correct issue and get me in the correct room. I inquired about a refund for the difference between the rooms and was told the hotel would not honor that since I accepted the other room. The next morning, we had meetings off property from 11-6:30 pm and were too tired to switch rooms once we returned by 7:00 pm. It wouldn’t have mattered anyway since management never contacted us at all. I could have gone down to the front desk and fussed at front desk people but they aren’t the real problem so I didn’t see a point. Management doesn’t have a clear grasp of how to handle customer concerns or a very poor line of communication. We own several commercial properties in the surrounding areas and we will be looking to stay at another hotel in the future.

We stayed here for a few nights for spring break. On our first night, we noticed that the toilet wasn’t cleaned and were offered Lysol wipes to clean it ourselves as housekeeping was already gone for the day. The bed sheets and comforters also showed quite a bit of wear and tear. A few pros: Location—it was a great central location for the places we visited and an easy walk to the local coffee shop and a few shops around the corner. Also, we came back to freshly baked cookies, which were a nice touch.
