This was a last minute booking on a long drive from GA to IL. I was not thrilled with the accommodations; the hotel seemed to have thin walls or perhaps the other guests were quite loud. Staff was not super welcoming nor hospitable. Room was minimal (likely chosen aesthetic) but clean.

The property is very well maintained and very clean in every area. Staffs are friendly, helpful, and professional. Fitness center is clean and nice. Hot breakfast is delicious and lots of variety. There’s pool table. The market has everything from Tylenol to wine.

Where to start......don't get the front of the building, the work/dump trucks will keep you up all night. Don't look/ask for a microwave, you can use the one downstairs. The lady at the front desk, when I asked for change, just grunted, didn't/couldn't speak. NO ROOM IN the rooms. Shower door did not fit, had to mop up water. Taken over by work crews, loud trucks with music blaring in parking lot. That's my take on Tru.

Honestly, this hotel was almost perfect. The biggest downfall is that the room wasn’t dark enough for my liking. Service was polite and prompt. Breakfast was delicious and better than I expected.

There is no roof above the entrance to the hotel. I case of raining it creates inconvenience to get in and out of the car, and to load and unload luggage. Drinking water access only on the lobby level. No drinking water pitcher or anything in the room. No freezer compartment in the fridge. No coffee or tea availability in the room.
