Edge of the inlet in Anchorage
Stay away from the tourist scene for a unique local Alaskan experience but everything is only 15 minutes away! Walkable to local resturants and coffee kioskis. Alaska Railroad Train comes right through the neighborhood! Perfect safe neighborhood for dog walkers and families with a park 2 blocks away with a full jungle gym, tennis court, sitting/BBQ area and sunset view of the inlet! Outdoor 6 person hot tub on lower deck area.Relax in the midnight sun with our huge 1000 sqft community deck space with separate seating areas and a grill. Plenty of parking. Excellent wifi for remote workers. Dog friendly! Our home has been uniquely designed for Airbnb guests to stay here in a completely private area indoors. This particular unit is on our middle floor of our home with kitchen, washer and dryer, bathroom, bedrooms, living space and hot tub access! An additional arctic room attached for all your winter/summer gear for storage to help avoid overcrowding your space in the home so you can relax after a long day of activities! This is a house that has been uniquely remodeled into 3 private units. You will have other people possible being on a different floor. Just keep that in mind when booking. It is NOT the entire building structure to yourself. Pets are on approval. Please message me for details. Your stay here is more than just a place to rest your head. You will have coffee, stocked laundry supplies, extensive kitchenware and additional linens. *NOTE* Others may be staying on a different floor above or below you. Potential noise from other guests is possible. *NOTE* You may be sharing the hot tub with us the owners or potential guests staying in the unit above you that have access to the deck areas. It is very very rare we have both units that want to use it simultaneously. We can always put in a time requests also. Guests from this unit will have direct access to the hot tub located on this floor outdoor on the back deck. From this same deck access, you will have stairs leading to the roof top deck on the garage. Think of the deck and hot tub like the pool at a hotel. You will have access and so will others! It makes a great spot for other travelers to meet each other but I will also have separate seating areas for those who choose to relax privately. We have plenty of parking for everyone. If you have guests they may need to park on the street side but it is very safe and visible from the home.
The south side of Anchorage is the hidden gem location for those who like to live like a local! Walk just up the street to a diner (South Sife Bistro) or coffee kioski. Safeway/Carrs grocery store is 30 seconds away via car! Same with banks, gas stations, some fast food stops, local resturants and more. I have been told this is very convenient from past guests who like to cook from home. We are located on the very edge of town, going South out of Anchorage to places like Girdwood, Portage Glacier/Whittier, Kenai, Seward and Homer. If you plan on heading south on your Alaska adventures, trust me when I tell you being on the edge of town really helps with getting ahead of traffic from everyone in town! The famous coast of Cook Inlet Alaska is just minutes from our home and is a beautiful scenic view of our mountains and reflective bay. It is truly a site to see! Walk to Oceanview Park with a full jungle gym for kids, tennis court, sitting bbq area and open space for dogs. An addtional entrance to the park has a nice sunset view of the bluff. You will see and hear the Alaska Railroad train down 2 neighborhood blocks from the house! The neighborhood is known for many joggers, dog walkers and extremetly safe. I would highly suggest getting a vehicle or plan on taking tours. While the 49th state does have transportation companies like Uber and Lyft to get you around town, it is short on ride accommodations that can take you affordably down the beautiful highway system. Alaska is just so big, with over 600 road miles from one end to the other, if you wish to take in the scenic beauty, a rental car far outweighs the public transportation that is offered to take you out of town. My vehicle is listed on Turo for my guests! If it is available, I would be happy to accommodate you with transportation to make your stay as stress-free as possible. We also have great hikes and trails in the mountain terrain just minutes from our house, I would be happy to fill you in on all the details!

Nice and Comfortable
It was a nice and comfortable stay for our party of 4 adults. We enjoyed using the hot tub and patio for outdoor dining. Location was close to outdoor adventures and minutes from Safeway and Walgreens, and other shopping. The neighborhood is quiet and a great place to walk. We will stay here again.

Great stay between Denali and Kenai
This house/apartment was a great find between our National Parks visits. The house had everything we needed and close to grocery shopping and hiking trails. Would recommend staying here while in Anchorage! We had brief communication with Carolyn to get the hot tub working, it was a quick fix and she walked us through it perfectly! Thank you!

The roof top lounge was the highlight. Loved the covered area with a fire to keep warm. The beds were comfortable and it was reasonably quiet. The neighborhood felt safe and the location is convenient to both Anchorage and sight seeing South of the city. The property manager was available, responsive and helpful. However, there were several issues that put a damper on our stay. The kitchen was ill equipped even for light cooking. The dishes were found dirty in the cupboards. One of the kitchen sink drains was clogged. The consumables in the house were just barely stocked so that if we used anything we would need to purchase a replacement (e.g. three zip-lock bags total, one backup roll of toilet paper, about a tablespoon of dish soap left in the bottle) . We had issues with the internet and hot tub. This property has a lot of potential but needs improving.

Camping respite
We had been traveling and camping in BC, the Yukon and Alaska for several weeks and stayed here for a couple of days. Was a great break. Liked the location, not in the city but everything you needed was nearby. The space was nice, we did laundry and enjoyed the hot tub. Our pup liked having a bit more space to chase his ball and play tug. Great recommendation on Southside bistro - had an excellent meal there.

Landing spot
Carolyn was graciously open to my communications from the time of booking, ty! The place was a home away from home. The cozy private sleeps to spacious stocked-with-utensils kitchen & comfortable living areas allowed for differing activities. NOW as for the great deck areas: I myself thoroughly loved all of it (my co-travelers were too tuckered out... Deck practically as big as our private area with cozy gathering areas & the fireplace💗

Perfect home base for road-trip adventure
The unit was perfect for our trip. It looks exactly as the pictures show. Plenty of storage, parking, and a large kitchen to cook in. Grocery is 5 minutes away. The location was great for going to the zoo and a day trip to Wittier.

First time in Alaska ~ Road Trip!
This place was awesome! It was very clean and inviting. It was the perfect place to unwind. It was just outside of town but very accessible to stores. The outside patio was just what we needed and we took full advantage. Carolyn was super kind and very helpful. Loved her chalkboard door with all the helpful information and her top suggestions on where to visit and eat. Highly recommend!
