It's low budget so my review and score allow for that. I don't expect 5 stars at cut rate prices. So.. The place is an average low rate place... things are run down. Is it horrible? No. Does it have that odor like they are spraying a bunch of perfume to cover us a smell? Yes, it had some of that smell but I've been places MUCH worse. The thing that stood out to me was that when you looked around the "edge" of things it was obvious that the cleaning they do is very light and superficial. The baseboard area had a think layer of dust and dirt on it. For the price and for one night I'd still stay here assuming I didn't see something that seemed like a better deal.

Needs a complete renovation. Clean but carpet has stains, mattresses worn out, exterior and stairs dingy.

The room was very dirty, it smelled like urine. It had plaster falling from ceiling and walls were damaged. The room was also very outdated, no plugs to charge electronics or cell phones. I requested a handicap accessible room for my mom, and did not receive it. My mom had a difficult time getting into the bathroom it was so small, and the toilet was so low to the ground. I will do more research next time I travel to Amarillo. This place was not worth it, despite the convenient location.

I do NOT recommend staying here! The coffee pot and my key didn't work and that was the least of my worries. There was hair all around the toilet, and in the bathtub, no trash bags or toilet paper, dead moths on the floor and bottle caps, like they forgot to finish cleaning the room. The staff was nice, but this was so gross. I sent an email to La Quinta and they never replied. I have pictures!

It needs better maintenance and could use some updating. Paint was peeling, toilet seat was wobbly, no place to plug in phones or laptops. Bathroom was very cramped.
