What a mess. I arrived after being on the road for 5 hours only to be told they "overbooked" and my room was given to someone else. The front desk staff was very nice and offered me two options. 1) A room with no air conditioning or 2) a room where the shower had to be turned on by pliers. Yep, you read it correctly... PLIERS! Ok... I was tired and took the room with the broken shower. Then, I was told to be gentle with the elevator buttons. Why? Because they were literally hanging off the wall- Both in and out of the elevators. So I get to the room which was dusty and looked like no one had been in there to clean for months. I was tired and decided to suck it up. Was there any discount on the room? Nope. It is sad. I have stayed at many Hamptons throughout the years, but this was the worst. While the staff was very kind, the management is a joke at best. I doubt I will ever book at a Hampton again. I do not recommend staying here.
