Villa Turquesa se encuentra en un entorno privado escondido al final de una bahía de arena blanca. Llena de espacios interiores abiertos y aireados, esta hermosa villa tiene mucho que ofrecer a su familia o grupo grande.



La propiedad está ubicada dentro de la tranquila comunidad cerrada de South Akumal, ubicada a solo una milla y media al sur de los restaurantes, boutiques, tiendas de buceo y otros servicios de Akumal. El sur de Akumal es bien conocido por su playa de arena blanca en forma de media luna y su bahía de fondo arenoso que es excelente tanto para nadar como para bucear.



La propiedad Villa Turquesa es una casa de estilo dúplex con la casa principal en el lado izquierdo y 2 casas para huéspedes en el lado derecho, una encima de la otra.



La villa principal de 3,500 pies cuadrados está abierta y bien ventilada, con vistas panorámicas de la playa y el mar Caribe. El diseño abierto, grande y abierto del nivel principal resalta las amplias vistas al océano y está diseñado para permitir un flujo fácil y sin problemas desde las áreas de vivienda principales, a través de la piscina, el patio y la terraza y luego a la playa de arena y las suaves aguas turquesa.



La Villa Principal tiene dos niveles. El nivel inferior incluye la cocina completa equipada con electrodomésticos modernos, comedor y sala de estar con cómodos asientos. Desde este nivel, salir a la piscina bien amueblada. También en el nivel inferior hay un dormitorio de invitados grande y privado, amueblado con dos camas dobles / completas. Ubicado en el nivel superior de la villa principal hay cuatro dormitorios adicionales. El dormitorio principal está amueblado con una cama king e incluye un baño privado, acceso a la terraza superior que goza de hermosas vistas del Caribe. En este nivel superior se ubican dos dormitorios de invitados adicionales: uno con vista al mar y otro con vista al jardín.



Las casas de huéspedes de nivel superior ocupan aproximadamente 3,000 pies cuadrados, y tiene 3 dormitorios. Se puede acceder a esta casa de huéspedes desde una puerta en el nivel superior de la villa principal, o por medio de su propia escalera exterior. La casa de huéspedes de nivel inferior tiene 2 dormitorios más y su propia entrada.



El propietario de habla inglesa, que también es el administrador de la propiedad, a menudo ocupa la casa de huéspedes inferior, lo que hace que sea de fácil acceso cuando tenga una pregunta o una solicitud. Unbelievable location and incredibly nice property. Was there with my bachelor party. Claudia the concierge took extremely good care of us, booking rides to all of our excursions and to and from the airport, setting up a private chefs who shopped, cooked and cleaned for us, and over all being ready to help with whatever we needed. Would highly recommend this place to any large groups looking for a relaxing vacation and to have things taken care of for them.

Great for multi-age families

Perfect for a family reunion with 7 adults, 2 teens and 4 kids ages 5-10. Private pool and beach at front door kept the kids entertained and busy. Lots of restaurant and shopping options close by. Also, many activities and Mayan archeological sites within a short drive.

Wonderful family vacation!

Our family of 15–ages 14 to 80–had a fabulous time at the Villa Turquesa. The home was perfect for a big family. It is well equipped, clean and comfortable. The staff is delightful and kept the place sparkling clean and in perfect working order. There is snorkel equipment and plenty of kayaks to make exploring the reef a pleasure. Our kids and grands said out of 27 years of family trips, this one rates up in the top 3!

Best family vacation spot ever!

Villa Turquesa is absolutely lovely. The beach is beautiful, serene and private. The villa staff are kind, helpful, and extremely diligent. The villa was perfect for our growing family and friends. Our group has been traveling together for 10 years and we love Akumal. Villa Turquesa is a great place to stay to get away from cold and snow. While you’re there, get a massage on the patio. They were great and Claudia can make the recommendation.

Relaxation at its best!

We stayed for 4 night. It was a nice relaxing place, away from the city and only a short 25 minutes drive to the next town. Aracely and her cleaning crew were amazing! They do get there around 9AM so be ready to wake up early in order for them to clean your room. The view was amazing and relaxing.

AMAZING!!!

I cannot begin to explain how amazing our stay here was. Communication was top notch and the hosts were incredible. This home is perfect for families a had everything we could have possibly needed. Life jackets, water shoes, high chair, crib, playpen, toys! We will be back!

Wonderful vacation spot

This house was even better than we could have imagined. It was very spacious, very clean, and the view was amazing. The staff was very friendly, they cleaned the sargassum almost every day so it never got too bad in front of the house and we were still able to enjoy the beach. They provided kayaks and snorkeling gear as well which my family all used several times. The concierge was great with giving us advice on places to go as well as helping us with transportation. It was such a beautiful and fun vacation at this house! Highly recommend.

Amazing stay for a family of 16

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house. The kitchen, table, and living room were spacious and accommodating. The morning sun and the beautiful sunrises were refreshing, including the splash in the pool. The cleaning crew was amazing, always smiling and flexible. We were so lucky to see three turtles laying eggs - unforgettable for sure! We hired a chef one night and were very, very happy with the food they prepared for us. All 16 of us had a great time. We will definitely come back.

What an amazing property!

We had a group of 12 and this place was perfect for us! Having the pool and ocean and kayaks gave everyone something to do. Our host referred us to a concierge where we hired a driver to take us around in a passenger van. Best money we ever spent! Mario was so knowledgeable about the area and it added so much to our experience. We also hired the private chef on our last day. They were amazing as well! I highly recommend this property and all it has to offer.

Terrific accommodation

The place was lovely. Accommodated 15 adults comfortably on our company retreat. Manuel and the cleaners were amazing. They were joy to have around. Manuel was nice enough to pass on his knowledge of how to open a coconut :) 🥥 Aside from a minor issue with our airport shuttle, there wasn't one hitch. Overall, excellent. Looking forward to another visit! Many Thanks

We were happy for the A/C as it was very hot. The pool was where everyone gathered. Maids cleaned daily so even with a full house it never felt over run. The house keeper was very responsive to our requests. Nesting turtles on the beach were an unexpected bonus!

The pool was big enough that the 16 of us never felt crowded. David from Akumal direct handled everything for us from airport transportation to rental car to the best chef in the area. He is a gem of an employee. We had prefect weather other than the seaweed but there were plenty of spaces on the beach to enter the water.

The staff was incredible and we highly recommend Chef Daveed for a dining experience. Can’t wait to come back

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Really loved this large house (sleeps 20) in a secluded spot just South of Akumal. Beautiful views, clear water but a little rocky. Seaweed cleaned up most every day. Cleaning crew was Fantastic! Both refrigerators struggle to keep food and beverages cold as their is no AC in the main living area. All bedrooms except large Master stayed very cool! Had most needed amenities except spices and condiments. Beach was nice and the place is close to restaurants and a gas station.

There was something for everyone to do. The House looked exactly like the photos with the exception of one room but it was nothing g detrimental. The largest issue we had was the water turning off. This happened at least 2, maybe 3 times while we were there. There also were not enough towels considering the amount of people we had. However, I would definitely rent this space again

We overall liked the location. However, there are few points needs to be addressed. Good:1-View from the backyard.2-Excellent service by cleaning crews. Always smiling.3-Proximity to the restaurants and shops.4-Owner Claudia was nice and stopped by to introduce herself.Not so Good/Bad:1- We couldn't use the ocean at all because of sea grass, and it smelled very bad at times. If I knew in detail I would have not rented this house.2- There was no AC in the living room area (common area). This is the biggest complain all the family members had because we couldn't sit down in the common area to cheat chat. To us it was a big deal. House was spacious and had plenty of rooms. Pool was small but it is what it is. Overall, for us it wasn't a good fit. But it could be for other people.

Loved it - except for one thing

The house is lovely and the location is beautiful. There were 11 of us there and there was loads of room for everyone. Having everyone around the big table for dinner was great. There are beachside shops and restaurants about 30 minutes walk each way along the beach. I have to give a shout out to the rental agency who were fantastic. The only negative was the seagrass. It was piled high along the beach and stretched out about 20 metres from the shore. And the smell was horrific. There were a few days when we had to leave the villa because the stench was particularly bad. It's nothing that the owner or management team can fix. It's down to pollution, but best to be aware of it before you go. If there's any feedback I can give it's that the kitchen could do with a few common spices and new sun loungers are badly needed.

We Would NOT Return to this Rental

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 10 did not complete our stay at Villa Turquesa. We requested a refund or alternate property after 2 nights for the following reasons:Everything was tired, especially the beddingNo one slept because of the poor quality mattressesMy granddaughter moved to three rooms trying to find a room that did not have bugs. She was covered with welts but no mosquitoes were found anywhere in the house. Mites?The property was listed as private but people were traveling between the houses day and night. We did not feel safe. None of us would return to this property or recommend it. If you would like pictures we would be happy to forward them.

There were issues but most could not be helped. June is not a good time to visit Mexico....just too hot and there is no air conditioning in the main area. The seaweed? Well, no one can control nature. They tried their best to clean it up; it was hopeless. Some of our group made it out to reef for some good snorkeling. The pool was WONDERFUL for the kids! The staff was friendly and did their best to make our stay enjoyable. We have stayed in houses before and it would have been nice to have stocked the kitchen with basic spices and cooking needs. We had to buy EVERYTHING and, of course, didn't use it up. Cookware was very adequate for our needs for 14 people. The toaster oven was hard to figure out....a toaster would be nice. Bedrooms and bathrooms were wonderful! The supply of snorkeling gear was more than I expected and the beach towels were a wonderful bonus! All in all I would recommend this house for a stay in south Akumal. There are plenty of restaurants if you like to eat out and the grocery stores weren't too far away. You can do Coba, Chitzen Itza, several cenaotes and relax around the house. I'm not sure this was the best choice for snorkeling because the reef was quite far out and only accessible to strong swimmers.

Absolutely amazing!

Looking at those pictures thinking “Could it be that good?” Yes, it is absolutely is. House is in a small, gated community (felt very safe) on a picturesque white sand beach. In the water, it is rocky and difficult to walk, but shallow, protected cove is perfect for snorkeling and kayaking (available at house). We saw conch, rays, squid, beautiful fish. Immaculate house was perfect for our group of 15. Each of 8 bedrooms has a bathroom (do not flush toilet paper) and air conditioning. Pool is clean and the perfect temperature. Kitchen has ample cooking supplies but not oil, spices, etc. Drinking water is supplied in 5-gal bottles. Running water is very hard. Bring moisturizing soap. Wonderful house staff come daily. Plan to tip them 2 each (or equiv. pesos), per person in the party, per day. We were delighted by their services. They will do laundry for 8 per load. Closest restaurant, Jungle Fish Beach Club, is 10 min walk on beach (excellent, reasonably priced, fantastic drinks; try the caipirinha and tamarindo mezcalita). 20 min more is the heart of the resorts, with restaurants, shops, and turtle snorkeling trips (well worth it). Akumal Concierge Services manages the property and books airport rides, private chefs, excursions. Safe, friendly drivers; wonderful food. Book van with driver for a day to see Tulum ruins, cenotes. If renting a car: parking is limited. Taxi service is in Akumal; public vans along the highway go to Akumal or Tulum for 50 pesos.

Perfect for the whole family

We stayed at Villa Turquesa with our entire family including babies, kids, teens, spouses and partners and it offered something for everyone. The location right on the beach made it simple to watch the sunrise in the morning and enjoy the sound of the waves. The pool was big enough for us to float around in and the kids loved it. With direct sunlight in the morning and early afternoon, it offered a nice shaded place in the hot afternoon, with some areas shaded at all times which were nice for the babies. The sargassum seaweed didn't bother us, maybe due to the wind and the groundskeepers carting away large amounts in the morning. Entering the sea is a bit rocky, but not difficult and there was decent snorkeling with quite a bit of different fish species and little holes/caves to explore. The kayaks were also a nice activity. The rooms were comfortable and had AC, with some of the larger rooms taking a bit longer to cool. Each room having its own bathroom was a nice luxury with so many families sharing one house. The housecleaners were friendly and there every day from after breakfast to early afternoon and kept the place very clean. Sometimes we had to plan around that with our babies nap times or cooking lunch but it wasn't a big deal. The groundskeepers also did a great job cleaning up the pool every day and responded quickly to our request to cut down some of the coconuts that were hanging over the pool after one had fallen down. Overall a great experience!
