Crowne Plaza College Park - Washington DC by IHG
"When I checked in around 3-330 pm, I went to my room on the 7th floor and the entire hallway was lined with piles of dirty linen and towels on both sides of the hallway. I had to walk through this to get to my room. Although the hallway carpet was in very good condition, it looked like it hadn't ..."

Fairfield Inn by Marriott Washington D.C.
"I was met by a front desk staff member who was not very welcoming. I also called the property multiple times to request an early check in, only to find out when I arrived that I could not be accommodated. When it was finally time to checkin, although I had been sitting in the lobby patiently waiting ..."

"Nice enough place, very close to Farragut North metro station (1 block). Very disappointed that we could not extend one extra night through Expedia after we checked in. The hotel's reservation center wanted to charge us almost double the rate we paid for the first few nights. We ended up reserving ..."

"The property is currently under major construction. I was not the only guest woken by 6:30am on multiple mornings by construction noise despite being told noise wouldn’t start until 9. This occurred for guests staying on different floors, so was not a localized issue."

Embassy Suites by Hilton Washington D.C. – Convention Center
"Overall, the hotel was excellent, but there were some areas that really need to be looked at. First of all, there was a homeless man who had set up residence right near the front door of the hotel where people are unloading and where valet parking is conducted. Not a good look to have a luxury hotel ..."

Holiday Inn Washington-College Pk (I-95) by IHG
"The carpets looked and smelled like they have never been cleaned, EVER. The smell of the mold in the room was so overwhelming that I had to take my laptop to the lobby and work in the small uncarpeted area there (and they have no outdoor benches. If you are allergic to mold, this can be a serious hazard. The mattress on the sofabed reeked of a terrible smell; it looked like someone had urinated on it and the housekeeping did not even attempt to clean it up. On the positive side, the breakfast was very good and it is offered until 11 AM, so if you are a late riser like me, you will appreciate it. The quality of the accommodation is similar to a motor inn, not a Holiday Inn class hotel."
