"Beautiful Beach, Fun Friends Best Features"
First visit to Punta Cana, blindly chose resort by reviews and budget. Resort is nice, room a bit musty but I was prepared by previous reviews. Staff was either really nice and accommodating or not and about 80% of them were really nice:) Arrived at night which was good because first impression arriving is not a fair representation. All food and drink was fine, not excellent except for the bread at breakfast and the coffee...yummy!! What made this resort a place we may want to return to was the beach....B E A utiful, the non stop flow of Presidente, the prospect of maybe staying in one of the suites that has it's own infinity pool and saving the best for last, the friendly American guests:)  Something about being a minority and finding your homies that makes everything more fun. I will make special note that the adult side was perfect atmosphere for me and my husband.  We ventured over to the other side once and that was fine we really didn;t need to leave our side to enjoy ourselves.  There is not a resort on either side of the place which made for nice quiet walks down natural beach front.   We are a tad suspect regarding the cleanliness of the front pool, restroom aroma nearby was way too reminiscent of the outhouse at the campground we used to visit when I was a child.  The infinity pool close to the beach was soooo lovely, for quiet time the swim up bar was at the toilet pool:) If you are looking for that 5 star experience that makes me go "wow" at every turn this is not it but if you make it there you cannot help but be grateful for the accommodations, food and experience.

    "Good but could be better..."
Overall our experience was good. Let me start with the negatives. After an hour of being in our room we developed a leak over the Jacuzzi and from the air conditioning system. We called the front desk and it took forever for someone to come check it out. Even after someone came the leaks still continued all weekend long. We never got to use the Jacuzzi and that was disappointing. The hotel needs maintenance and a lot of old pipes need to be fixed (hence all the leaks). If you go to the privileged side (which we did when they tried to get us to purchase their version of a time share) You will see that it is beautiful and very well maintained. It’s sad that they don’t put as much effort and money into the regular side as they do the privileged, more people would be happier when they left. The 24 hour snack bar wasn’t good they had French fries and chicken in the oven that wasn’t fresh. The casino is dated and a lot of the machines weren’t working, but we did manage to win $50 so that was a plus. Now to the positives we were greeted by all the staff upon arrival and got our “welcome drink” (which was delicious) We met a nice man by the name of Alejandro (he is truly one of the nicest people I have ever met) He told us everything we needed to know upon arrival and assured us if we needed anything to let him know (and we did and he was more than happy to help). The rest of the staff were equally as nice from the maintenance people, maids, bartenders, entertainers etc. The buffets were good for breakfast and lunch. The Japanese restaurant was okay (not what we expected), The steakhouse was amazing as well as the Italian restaurant (my favorites) and the drinks were good too. The pool area was great (but the chairs are old) it was clean and well taken care of and the swim up bar was awesome! The entertainment was great, they really worked hard to keep everyone entertained and happy. The disco was fun but they played the same music every night and by the last night I knew the routines. We met Jacqueline for breakfast to go over the whole time share plan and her partner Fernando (later on) who showed us the privileged side in regards to their version of a time share. What I loved about them was that they weren’t pushy and didn’t try to sell something that wasn’t realistic they tried to work with us but we just weren’t ready to make a commitment. Maybe next time because we definitely plan on returning BUT staying on the privileged side now that we know it is the better side. I would like to Thank everyone who tried and made our stay one to remember.

"Nice hotel, close to the beach"
The hotel grounds are very nice with beautiful gardens, pools and very close to the beach with plenty of cabanas and loungers. Overall, we had a great time, but there were a few annoyances: 1) the check in process is not acceptable! There are more people working the front desk than there are people in line and we waited over an hour at the curbside with all the luggage and small children running all over the place. No one ever offered a drink or a snack the whole time we were there and we were starving. After that they took our luggage on a separate golf cart and disappeared for another hour. 2) the family suites are very close to the tram route, which runs 24 hrs, and it nearly impossible to get a full night sleep with roudy party crowd. The walls in the rooms are paper thin, so you can hear a neighbor having a quiet convo on their balcony. 3) there are marble floors everywhere-rooms, restaurants, etc. beautiful, but not little kid friendly. Also, there is no bath tub, only a shower, so if your kids are small enough it might be hard to manage. 4) there is a new rule at the restaurants as of a few weeks ago-they don't accept reservations and will get you in on a first come first serve basis. The problem is they will give you greif if your party is larger than 2 and if you have kids with you. We literally had to escalate the situation to put our name on the waiting list. It was super annoying !! Overall beautiful area, but hotel is not ideal for families with small children!

    "Good value for the money"
I have been to this resort at least 4 times. Overall, it is an alright place to go if you want to stay somewhere that is inexpensive but still nice enough to relax then this is the place. The rooms are decent but that bathrooms could use some real updating. It is all inclusive but the food options are limited, even in the buffet which doesnt vary its items that often. The best place by far at the resort is Caribeno restaurant. The best food I have ever eaten at that resort. All very fresh and delicious. They have 2 pools one quiet and one wth music playing. The animation team is very friendly and coordinate the nightly shows and entertainment at the resort. All in all this place has a lot of potential to be a great resort but there are a lot of litte things that make you say thsi wouldnt happen at a resort in Punta Cana or Puerto Plata. For instance: food runs out at the buffet and at least 15 minutes can before it is replaced (not all the time), bathroom fixtures, often in shower, do not function properly, some things in the room do not work (lamps, outlets, etc..), disco only plays spanish music, not much things to do. The one thing that I may see that would deter americans from this place is that on the weekends there are a lot of locals at the resort. I dont mind them, but there are some that could spoil the experience for you. Many of them are nice and friendly but there are some who are there only to drink all day. The bad o0nes do not treat the staff well and are usually the most difficult at the resort. Aside from that, from monday throughthursday it is a great place to relax. And like everywhere, if you treat the staff well and tip often, they will be kind to you as well and can make your experience 2-3x as good. This place does have its pro's and definitely its cons, but I cant help but keep returning to this "cubic zirconia in the rough".

"Nice location but the room poor"
They gave us a room far from the beach and on top of that the room was half done: no towells, no soap. The staff were on training and they have no clue of a good service
