Fairfield by Marriott Kyoto Amanohashidate
"The cleanliness and quality of the room were impeccable, and I had no complaints in that regard. However, I feel there is room for improvement when it comes to the level of amenities provided. "A good spot to stay in Kinosaki. The room itself was pretty outdated with an old tv - I really enjoy when hotel TV's have casting capabilities which this one did not. But the service and meals service was excellent, it's a self-serve buffet style dining which is great if you're a slightly fussy eater ..."

Seikiro Ryokan Historical Museum Hotel
"This is a beautiful inn at which to stay. It was incredibly convenient for access to downtown Miyazu and was only a short walk from the train station. The meals were included in the affordable price and were unquestionably the highlight. The cooking was incredible and provided the opportunity to experience traditional Japanese cooking while saving money on dining. Although the bathroom facilities were dated (1960s or 1970s), the rooms were beautiful, traditional Japanese rooms. The futon sleeping can be difficult for foreign travelers who are unaccustomed to sleeping on tatami, but I would recommend staying here for at least one to two nights if you want to truly experience Japanese culture and hospitality."
