How to get through airport security fast when traveling to Port of Spain
Your journey to Port of Spain begins as soon as you've completed the security checks. We've summarized a few hints and tips to make sure you get through quickly:

  • Make sure your travel ID and boarding pass are not difficult to reach. You will be asked to present them straightaway.
  • Wallets, USB sticks and power banks are to be placed in a tray for X-raying. If you enter the body scanner with any one of these items, you'll be turned back and instructed to remove them.
  • All laptops must be taken out of their protective carriers and placed in a tray prior to being X-rayed.
  • Deodorant, toothpaste and other toiletry items in gel, liquid or cream form need to be stored in containers no larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters). They also need to fit in a 1-quart (1-liter) clear zip-lock plastic bag.
  • Hiking boots and other bulky shoes are often X-rayed by airport security. We suggest wearing lightweight sneakers instead.
  • Multi-tools and corkscrews are prohibited from entering the aircraft. Tuck them away in your checked luggage to avoid forfeiting them at the security checkpoint.
