Transportation From BOM

There are two public buses (337 and 308) run by Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport that stop outside the departure hall entrance on level 6. These will take you to Andheri Station, from which you can access the nearby train station. Get tickets for the Harbour Line. If you want to cab it, get a coupon from one of the prepaid counters inside the terminal. This is the safest course of action, as metered cabs are known to sometimes take circuitous routes to your destination. There are several prepaid taxi agencies inside, so don't be afraid to shop around if you don't like the rate you're offered. Make sure you get into the same cab you're assigned at the counter. Once you are settled at your Mumbai hotel, hit the streets! Discover the fascinating rock-carved temples of Elephanta Island, a UNESCO World Heritage site, or enjoy a studio tour behind the scenes of Bollywood, the premier Hindi film industry. In the evening, walk along Marine Drive, locally known as the "Queen's Necklace," where you can get a fantastic view of the city lit up at night. There's enough to keep you busy here for weeks.
