A Terrible Hotel in Venice
The hotel is located in area that provides the old Venice Experience and it is close to a lot of shops and restaurants. However, there are likely much better options to stay. We paid on arrival for 4 nights. The service and infrastructure at this hotel is absolute terrible. There is no ice. They said their ice machine was broken. The air conditioning started dripping water on the floor on our second night. We informed them that night. They said they could do anything that night but give some extra towels. The next morning, as we were leaving out, the front desk attendant said he would take a look. When we returned, the A/C was still dripping water on the floor. They didn’t even leave a note about it. We told a different front desk attendant and she said that her colleague had told her that it was leaking. She offered more towels and a frown. I told her that the wet floor posed a safety hazard. They never fixed it or offered another room. The bathroom had a heavy sewage smell in the morning and anytime we were away for a while. I had to run water in the sink to help mitigate the smell. It seemed like water dissipates or leaks from their P-trap and the sewer gas vent in to the room. The tub had a high profile and no grab bars to facilitate getting in and out. Plus, the tub was slippery, because it had nothing on the bottom to facilitate slip prevention. The breakfast is not very good and they want you to schedule it.
