Very friendly staff. Comfortable room. The only thing that might bother a guest that is in the room facing Madison Avenue would be the very noisy college / university students as they waited in line or were leaving the pub that is located next door. This was only on the Saturday. On Sunday, it was very quiet.

Very small rooms, bed was comfortable. The person at the desk didn’t let us know the ally way closed at 9:00 so after you park you have to walk around the block to get into the building. We stayed on a Monday so the hotel was not busy or loud. We paid for parking but because check out is at 10 and the parking ticket goes till 9:00 we got a $75 dollar parking ticket - they were waiting by the car - as the ticket was given at 9:02.

My stay at the Hotel was excellent. The location is ideal, right next to a subway station, making it easy to get around Toronto. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and quiet.

I would consider this property more on the motel type stay as opposed to a "boutique hotel" personally. Price was reflected in the expectations of quality so I wasn't disappointed. It is an older property, and for me the amount of stairs, attention to detail when it comes to comforts and modernities that I like make it a 3 star stay which was what I could afford this trip.

Noisy plumbing

There was a quite loud sound of running water between my room and the adjacent room, like a toilet with a flush valve stuck open but loud. I phoned the front desk Tues at 7:30 pm as the sound was constant for about 2 hours at that time and I was worried I would have trouble sleeping. I was told that someone would have a look, but no one came or followed up with me and the sound continued until I left Wednesday morning. I stuffed tissue in my ears to try to sleep, but it wasn’t a good sleep. Stayed on the same floor (top floor) 2 weeks prior in a different room and did not have this problem.
