Michael & Priscilla are wonderful hosts and the house is even better than pictured. My husband and I had a lovely stay and were happy our dog was also welcome. The location is perfect and the house has peaceful ocean views. The decor is very welcoming and the furniture is quite comfortable and stylish. There are several beach chairs for our use, though it was quite chilly when we stayed. We felt right at home and are already planning for a return trip!

Close to beach

This is a gorgeous house with ocean views. The beach access is a short walk with no crossing busy streets. Very clean and quiet. Lots of room for our family and our dog. Great neighborhood. There are beach chairs, wagon, umbrellas etc. Easy drive to downtown St. Augustine. I would definitely love to stay there again.

Nice house near beach

Location: House is on the second street back from the beach and a short walk to a main access point. The house is on an elevated section, so the driveway is on an incline. You can park on a pad at street level or at the top, and in the garage. House is in a quiet neighborhood but close enough to beach eateries, shopping, activities and landmarks.House: Nice, clean layout with two bedrooms and a full bath on the first level and a master bedroom, and one and a half baths on the second level. Facing the ocean is the kitchen, dining and living area and a large porch. Due to the height there are partial views of the ocean and a nice breeze. We loved hanging out on the porch throughout our stay. In the back there is a full-size grill outside on the ground floor, and a porch off the master bedroom and you can climb higher to a crow’s nest. Three TVs in two bedrooms and living room. Kitchen is well equipped, and there is a full washer and dryer.Other: Four beach chairs, beach umbrella, cooler on wheels, and two bikes in the garage. Outside is a hose and shower to rinse off. No fenced yard for a dog, but plenty of walking space in the neighborhood and on the beach. Dogs must be on a leash in the beach. Barley was in heaven.Beach: Expansive and not crowded. Walkable and rideable on bike. For a few bucks you can drive your four-wheel vehicle on the back of the beach. Being by the beach access point was a huge plus! So easy to walk there and back. Loved it!

Great beachside getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Pelican House. The location was perfect for us, a quiet neighborhood with a short walk to the beach. Also just a short drive to Anastasia beach and downtown St Augustine where there are plenty of things to see and do. House was well stocked with everything we needed.

Great Beach House

The Pelican House was perfect for our Daytona 500 trip! The location was ideal—a short walk to the beach and a quick Uber to downtown St. Augustine. The home was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The hosts were welcoming and communicative, making our stay seamless. We’d book again in a heartbeat!
