There was a mix up with billing. I was billed for two rooms, while our friends were not billed. It took a couple of days to sort it all out. We learned that when you request a handicap room, we have to be specific regarding the disability. Our friend, who had had a stroke and has difficulty walking, was given a room with a tub and shower, instead of a walk in shower and a sink with a very tiny vanity ( to accommodate a wheelchair, which she didn’t have), and the room was all the way down at the far end of the hall. It was the worst possible situation for her. It was explained to us that there are many different types of handicap rooms and it’s up to us to be specific about the type of disability that you have. If you need a room for handicap, be specific! It would have been nice if they had explained that to us when we checked in. Lesson learned.

This is a very spartan property. Although clean, the room was nothing but a soft mattress on a board. The only furniture was a small chair that looked like it was taken out of a van in the 60's. NO place to store toiletries in the bathroom, no toilet paper and pathetic breakfast. YOu can do much better nearby.

At first it seemed ok, then I saw multiple bugs in the bathroom. The rest looked ok so I went to bed vs changing rooms. But when I woke up the humidity was so high that my clothes were wet. Breakfast was about as bad as a crappy motel. I guess you get what you pay for but the reviews looked good enough I thought it would be fine. Staying at the staying at the Homewood Suites tonight and man so much better.

This is a Choice privilege group of hotels. I didn't know that the hotel and staff including service will be so excellent but thanks for the prior reviews that helped me in selecting this hotel. To summarize my experience and stay; 1) Excellent Location - near to Mall and @15 to 30 minutes depending on where you want to go to key locations like Old Port, downtown, beaches, etc. 2) Neat and Clean - Rooms, lobby, bathrooms, floors, etc. 3) Excellent Continental Breakfast - Free breakfast starts from 6:30am until 9:30am but I have seen folks eating @10:30am and the staff keeps on refilling food (croissant, bagel, yogurt, waffle (you can make yourself), bread, coffee, juice, etc. 4) Staff - Cannot be proud of staff who were always ready to help and provide excellent service.
