I guess I didn’t pay attention when I booked the room, so I was surprised to see an almost $50 “resort fee”. Since we didn’t check in until 9PM on a Sunday night, most services were unavailable (pool bar closed, beach access unavailable, spa closed, etc.). Since we are leaving pretty early, this fee was a waste of money.

Nice property! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary there. Daisy from Landshark Bat and Grill who worked the pool area was our favorite! She was so attentive and friendly! Great DJ at the pool More umbrellas are needed at the pool in my opinion. I saw several guests looking/asking for an umbrella. Suggestion for cabanas. Can they be reserved at half day intervals? We and I saw another couple ask about rent f one. We were told they had been reserved for the day. We left the pool areas around 5:30, 2 cabanas were not used at all. If a few were available half day that would be great. I like the resort because of the convenience of restaurants and close access to the beach. They also have concierge for beach rentals. The guy working it gave us great restaurant recommendations! We went to both and they weee awesome!

The hotel was very modern and the DJ playing music by the pool in the mid afternoon and followed by a live band at night made the atmosphere very interesting and enjoyable. The pool was nice with a pool bar and being close to the beach was awesome.

A little below average

It was remodeled two years ago but it needs more care and attention. The carpets were soiled from the beach, people and dog traffic. The front lobby had the smell of a wet dog. Not super strong, but persistent. And the air conditioning unit made loud noises as it struggled to cool and dehumidify the room and hotel. Staff was friendly and worked hard, but they were honestly understaffed and fighting an uphill battle. It’s a fun place but moderate your expectations.

Requested early check in, was told I had to go in person over the phone. Went, was given wristbands, told I would be called when ready. By 4 pm ( check in time) no call was ever made. Waited in a long line ( which I was told I wouldn’t have to) to get bands updated for room. Room - balcony was dirty, had left over food underneath small table, super gross, old and failing apart. The patch job repair to cover rust up with paint was really just sad. Stains on countertops and on cabinets. I expected better for the price charged. Wouldn’t go back.

Beautiful property, friendly staff. Helped us with early check in and getting more water bottles. Only issue was bed was too hard and pillows were too soft. Lots of people at the pool, but it’s high season. Had to pay for parking, which I am not used to for South Padre Island. However, there was limited noise at night. We will absolutely stay again if the price is right.

The place was nice but when you spend a go amount of money on booking with them and having to pay for parking you expect a place where you can go and enjoy and relax well when we were there there was some girls vomiting all around the pool area and when one of the workers ask them are you ok they said yes she is fine when clearly she was not she couldn’t even get up by herself and she was still vomiting and when we whent to our room from a long day of watching a girl vomited all over and not wanting to go to her room we wanted to go and relax but when we wanted to use the toilet the water would start coming out from one of the hoses attached to the wall so we had to turn off the water from our toilet in order for it to stop throwing water and then in our floor level when we where waiting for the elevator the carpet smell so bad that it stank all the hallway
