Capelongue, a Beaumier Hotel
"The hotel is great with beautiful grounds. Our room was spacious and clean and well decorated. The pools were great and provided a very nice atmosphere to lay out and relax. Overall we would say the hotel exceeded our expectations with regard to the room, the pools, the atmosphere, and the staff. The one exception was the food. Dinner at Le Bergerie was great, but the breakfast and lunch options were both lacking. Breakfast was okay but felt incomplete, lacking some basic items like some sort of sausage or meat, fresh fruit, veggies, etc. Lunch was the most severely lacking – the lunch menu by the pool only contained a small and niche selection and lacked basic options and classic staples for the region (ham and cheese sandwich, nicoise salad, turkey or ham club, etc.). The items included were not particularly tasty and expensive for what they were. I recommend the hotel take a look at what other similar hotels are doing for breakfast and lunch and try to match them on selection + quality, because it's the one area that is currently lacking to make this hotel a 5/5. My other note is that service by the pool was slow due to only having one person on staff taking care of it. It often took a long time to place an order and then be served. The servers were excellent but the hotel needs to have two people working so that guests can be served in a timely manner."
