The staff at Oceania was very helpful. They store your luggage, call a taxi if needed, answer many questions and provide a unique Roman older hotel experience. It has been updated and the bathroom was nice. To avoid our initial confusion, there is a sign on the building and you must go up a couple stairs and then go down the hall to the small elevator to 3rd floor. We had to ask as no signage directed you. There is no Lobby coffee. You must purchase it. Overall, we enjoyed the convenient location and would stay here again.

This property is more like a pensione than a hotel. It is on the 3rd (European) floor of a nondescript building so it was a little difficult for us to find it. The decor is dated but everything is neat and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I'm glad we opted to include the breakfast which was Italian style and served to us. It is very close to Termini train station and about a 15 minute walk to the Trevi fountain, and even closer are the beautiful Santa Maria Maggiore, San Giovanni in Laterano and the Scala Santa. I would stay there again.

Internet wi-fi was poor. Since TV was connected to wi-fi, we couldn’t use it and no one serviced it despite our complaint. Staff was respectful and generally helpful, except for failure to address that one complaint.

From the moment I booked the hotel I had such great customer service! I always got a quick response to my emails & many questions. They helped me with transportation & tour company recommendations also. When we checked in we were greeted as if we were family friends! The hotel is so beautiful & was very clean. The property was perfect for seeing all the sites in the historic district, while being just tucked away enough to be a reprieve from the crowds. The staff alone made this a five star experience. We were always greeted warmly and assisted with care. I was traveling with my teen daughter and were able to navigate the area easily, with the help of the staff, using trains and the metro. Most sites are easily walkable and there are some lovely restaurants within a few minutes walk.

Best choice ever!

If I am ever lucky enough to return to Rome, I will certainly stay at The Hotel Oceania. The location is very convenient to Termini and Metro lines A and B. The staff is wonderful. Housekeeping does an exemplary job daily - not just when requested. There are so many lodging options in Rome. You won;t be disappointed if you choose this one.
