Classic Beach Living in Downtown Pismo

Clean, Comfortable, Quiet upper level vacation rental home above commercial office space just 2 blocks off the beachfront and boardwalk in Downtown Pismo Beach. You enter the property (keyless, code provided on arrival date) from a shared driveway area, where you can kick off your shoes and make yourself at home. Going upstairs you'll find yourself in the main living area staring out some French doors toward the Pacific Ocean. The living room features a large flat screen Smart TV, two large sectional sofas, and fireplace. Next to the living room you have the nicely sized eat-in kitchen with gorgeous butcher block top island, a built-in desk area with complimentary Wi-Fi, dining table that seats 8, and a wall of windows that overlooks downtown and out toward the beach and ocean. There is a separate, small deck on the front of the building overlooking Main Street toward the beach just off the dining area. The largest main deck starts here by the French doors off the back side of the dining room/kitchen with an area to set up a set of folding table and chairs (provided) perfect for sipping morning coffee or a sunset red wine, and run the length of the building past the living room and over above the garage. On the large deck space above the garage we have an outdoor sofa set with fire pit table, a set of dining tables and chairs, the gas BBQ, and a couple big umbrellas for all-day outdoor fun! Heading back inside and going down the hall from the living room we have two bedrooms with a Queen bed in each, outlets in the bedside lamps, and one bedroom has ocean views and the other overlooks a small private garden. Across the hall from the bedrooms is the laundry closet (only available for guests who book a 7+night stay) with full size washer and dryer. At the end of the hall is one of the two full bathrooms, this one has just a shower. The third bedroom and second bathroom are on the other side of the living room, past the octagonal window. The bedroom has two sets of bunk beds and each bunk has a full on the bottom with a twin on the top, this bedroom has a small deck/balcony facing north overlooking Main Street. Each bunk has a wall sconce with a light and outlets for charging.

Comfortable place and great location!

The property was ready early, and we were notified right away with the keyless entry codes. The rental office called to make sure that we got what we needed. They are in the front of the building on the first floor, great of you need them. The place is very comfortable and spacious and in a great location, walking distance to the beach and pier with a lot of food options around if you decide to eat out/takeout instead of cooking. If you decide to cook, there is a fully functional kitchen with everything you need to cook and serve. The kitchen table is big and easily seats 8. Lots of natural light. One of the highlights is the large living room with 2 big sofas and coffee tables. The kitchen is on the opposite side from the bedrooms so you can hang out there and not disturb those who may be sleeping. Beds were comfortable. The deck above the garage is very nice if you like to spend time outdoors. There are 3 things to take note of: 1. This is a 2nd floor unit (you enter on the ground floor and take the stairs up) so if you have any guests who have trouble with stairs, it will be tough; 2. Driveway is narrow (it's the one to the left of the rope divider). It is easier to back in. Plenty of space to park. 3. 2 bedrooms and both bathrooms face the back of several restaurants. Every morning around 730-8am, garbage trucks drive through there to pick up trash so it's a little noisy. Otherwise, the place is fairly quiet.We had a great time and would stay here again. Thanks!

Spacious and family friendly but no access to washer and dryer and farther from pier than anticipate

This condo was clean, had comfy beds and was family friendly. There was a nice balcony with a table and chairs for outdoor dining. However, we traveled with three young children who went to the beach every day so we were not happy campers when we saw a padlock on the doors that blocked access to the washer and dryer. Considering the price we paid to rent the condo we felt that the washer and dryer should have been included. Also, the pier was farther away than anticipated and a bit far of a walk for a four year old. Additionally, parking was problematic. We were promised two parking spaces but one was occupied daily by a tenant in the building and the other one was a tight squeeze up a narrow driveway, around the corner of the building and around the parked car. I chose to park on the street rather than trying to maneuver in and out of the driveway. The condo itself was pleasant and the rental staff was great but the inconveniences should have been made clear up front.

Better than expected

The living room was bigger than I thought it would be. The natural lighting and deck were great. Lots of glassware (and plastic). The location is great for walking to everything Pismo has to offer. With that comes the sounds of being in the heart of the action. This is what I expected so didn’t bother me. The one thing they could improve on is hooking up the ice maker in the freezer. It was a bummer to get my heart set on mixing up a cocktail but not having ice. There is a liquor store just a short jaunt though so…crisis averted.
