"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I've been to Costa Rica five times, and Trogon Lodge is by far my favorite place I've stayed. The location in the beautiful San Gerardo de Dota Valley is absolutely breathtaking. Set along the river, the property is filled with stunning plants, incredible birdlife, and wildlife around every corner. There's even a beautiful trail on the property that leads to a waterfall. Our cabin was clean, cozy, and comfortable, with thoughtful touches like a space heater and hot water bottles for the bed. The property offers plenty of peaceful spots to relax, as well as a welcoming bar area where you can enjoy tea, snacks, games, or pool. The restaurant was excellent, and the staff were friendly, accommodating, and genuinely welcoming. Since the road to the lodge is steep and winding (but very manageable), having such a wonderful restaurant on-site meant we could enjoy the evening without driving after dark. The included breakfast was fresh, delicious, and filling. We also took the Bird Tour and Quetzal Tour. Our guide was incredible, helping us spot amazing birds we never would have found on our own. Seeing six Resplendent Quetzals was an unforgettable highlight. This is authentic Costa Rica at its finest. I didn't want to leave and can't wait to return."

"We pay for all inclusive but that was not the case we have breakfast buffet and that’s it, the bar was not open and the pools need work but is a beautiful place if you like nature and hiking this is the place the access by car is really easy and is close to the town where you can find anything"

"If you want ultimate rainforest luxury and top level service you should stay here. Not to be missed. Raft in and out via the Pacuare river and be completely enveloped by the forest and river in the middle of nowhere while having high level meals breakfast, lunch and dinner, incredible adventure programs like zip lining through the canopy and repelling down little waterfall. Seriously. 1000% The food was top tier. The service was thoughtful and personal. The staff is amazing. And they have great wifi. In the middle of nowhere. Deep jungle. The rafting is world class. I had a Linda vista villa and it was an absurd amount of space and privacy with a personal plunge pool. Come back from dinner and your lights are on, fan going and curtains drawn. Seriously, stay here. I'm coming back again someday."

"Hummingbirds, right at my doorstep! Hummingbird garden Appreciative I had been upgraded by Alamo with a 4 x 4, taking me to the top of the mountain. I am in decent shape. I preferred walking the paths at the top of the mountain having ridden to those trail heads. This includes parking at the top and walking down to the overlook platform beautiful fuse So much cooler 10 to 15° perfect hiking weather never above 70°F and contrast with my days by the coast not humid not hot Bug spray would’ve been nice part for stormed with mosquitoes on the parts not at all Enjoy the location as well. Enjoyed and appreciated many other places to eat and walk within a few minutes drive"
